For the first time you will see why we use face and rim formula. The reason is angular formula for shaft angular alignment correction will not change offset position . So one can add radial misalignment and angular misalignment correction at one time and so correction is done in one step. This all has been explained practically . Try to understand this . For example if motor is up you will be confused when you are required to add shims . it can happen when your angular reading is plus and shim required to add is more than shim required to be removed .
