Good video...very funny...I did one a few days ago and it was time consuming. I used heat gun and putty knife then acetone...not good...then goof off worked pretty good. Finished with acetone and a micro fiber cloth. 3D printers have the same problem with adhesive.
This might be a stupid question, but are the rubber pads a standard thickness? I need to change out some of my rubber pads on my auto but I am a little hesitant. If the pads' thickness isn't standard I worry that the pressure will not be even on all print stations.
How long does the pallet rubber usually last? What is purpose of the pallet rubber and is it necessary? Can you just use pallet tape? Thanks for the tutorials Cam.
Ron Waller - apparently it helps lay down a thicker deposit of ink. In one of cans last videos, he said he prefers the platens without rubber. Vastex V2000HD presses come with rubber covered platens standard. I haven't tried it but I might try it on a few extra platens.
Yea guys I think the main purpose is to reduce the heat transfer to the aluminum, those things get hot as shit, Some say it helps with the print but I cant confirm this.
Your video have helped me more than any other content on UA-cam. Thanks dude!
Thanks for the vid bro. Just replaced my old rubber in like 10mins thanks to you💯

So I just ordered my aluminum pallets, once the rubber is on, do you need pallet tape also on top of the rubber?
Clean job
Here's a tip: Use a utility knife to cut the rubber into 1 or 2 inch strips. It will take a lot less force to peel off.
This will sound crazy, but Avon's Skin So Soft will take that adhesive right off.

Ron Waller I have the same question, why use it? I just use pallet tape.
Yeah just curious what the benefits are. Also just like pallet tape if you don't change it very often seems to make the job much harder.
