- It’s Christmas and Miranda leaves Seattle with a suitcase full of presents to join her long- lost family in Carlton Heath, where she will experience the joyful traditions she missed as a child. Last Christmas, Miranda fell in love with Ian, a local man who helped her as she searched for her father, James Whitcomb, a famous theatre actor she believed had a connection to the town. At his widow Margaret’s request, Miranda agrees to keep it a secret to protect the family from scandal. This Christmas, she fears the warm welcome she received from the Whitcomb family will soon turn cold when Miranda receives an anonymous text from someone who threatens to expose her identity.

I remember previously in a movie when the character Miranda found out who her father was. It was done with dignity and to see the outcome all come together is so awesome. And now to see the end with all the people playing these parts to make a real difference is so heartwarming. Thank you for the second part of this movie. So, stay safe, and blessings.

I really liked this movie. Just how the family and especially Margaret who accepted her like her own daughter. Very heartwarming.
This movie is really relatable for a lot of adopted people like myself, particularly if one of our birth parents was someone of note. Too bad we don't often get the same kind of ending, just the shame and rejection that was none of our making.
My father was Ace Richman (who had a band called the Sunshine Boys). He died before I could meet him, and his closest relatives want nothing to do with me. Family is an interesting construct....with many unwritten rules. What a lovely film.... 💖💖 We all get here the same way, you know? Why do we have to be a dirty little secret?

The saying on the wall reminded me of the lyric in “Joy to the World” where one of the verses begins with “He rules the world with truth and grace…” A fitting reminder of what love is all about, especially when Love came down at Christmas.

I thought the same thing but t think she switched to a bigger suitcase and repacked. At the airport she has a large bag and not a carry on.

I think I've missed a reveal of the whole hous but, from the little I saw, I can say that I love it, absolutely. It has it's character and you will make it even better. And may I say also that I love your personality and your passion for doing most of the things just by yourself. I'm the same, so I absolutely understand what do you mean by saying "I will be proud for doing it by myself". You just do what you want and how you want it. I'm on your side 100%. A Family for the Holidays (TV Short 2017)
Becky and her family are often in a rush - even more so with unpacking after their move into a new neighborhood and trying to prepare for the holidays. They have had little time to speak with their kind, elderly (but somewhat lonely) neighbor Grace who lives across the street and is always trying to start conversation. Yes, he might be biological father but her father would be the one who brought her up and raised her. Who put food on the table. Provided for her when she was growing up
That is because her real Mother never married so her real father was still her real father....her Mother died before she could tell her about her real Father...so she was only brought up by her Mother...

@@slayer7682, Jesus is stating that eating with unwashed hands where the foods with the germs will be digested and pass out of the body but the darkness of the person's heart will be revealed by the words of your mouth which come from your inner being. Dirty hands are not more important that the intentions of how you feel about others. The overseers of the "LAW" were always concerned with the nit-picking points of a person's behaviour, such as causing sparks when wearing your hard-soled sandals on the stone pathways. This was considered to be"work" as compared to "the actual work" which produces profit for one's self. The Pharisees were always "splitting hairs" over some process as compared to the actual actions of a person's will and intentions. The woman above who quoted this series of verses is implying "something" but, doesnot clearly state what itis she wants to state. It seems vague and mysteriously b/c I believe she has not clarified her premise within her own mind. I have not seen this movie yet.....maybe, I will understand her ideas after I view the movie.
