Dominic (Vin Diesel) challenges Brian (Paul Walker) to one final race, but neither one of them expect the obstacles that get in their way.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A magazine article about real-life car racing gangs for Vibe becomes this fast-paced automotive thriller from director Rob Cohen. Paul Walker stars as Brian O'Conner, a youthful FBI agent investigating a series of hijackings by going undercover with a street gang led by charismatic Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). Caught up in Toretto's world of gang conflict that is resolved in late-night car races, Spindler starts to sympathize with his chief suspect and falls in love with Toretto's younger sister Mia (Jordana Brewster). In the meantime, Spindler initially suspects the wrong gang of complicity in the crimes he's probing, while Toretto remains involved in a forbidden romance, à la Romeo and Juliet, with his girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). That Charger was producing 1,500bhp in reality it actually scared the stunt man driving it

you're right! lol. So..best guess on the fireball of an explosion on the side of Dom's engine? nothing i can think of would cause that. right before it happens, we see a shot of the oil gauge..but the pressure doesn't drop, it goes up a bit. but a blown oil cooler line wouldn't make weird noises before it happened..wouldn't cause a fireball..or make the engine run funny beforehand. I got nothing.

The Lykan Hypersport from Furious 7 got me the most to be honest. I mean, I know it's fake but imagine destroying a really expensive car (And what I mean by that is really expensive) that only 6 of those cars are sold worldwide.

The same thing happened when I saw Brian race against the Ferrari, I had thought Brian would lose at first because "Ferrari is faster" but watching Brian gap the Ferrari got me pumped as much as Dom pulling a wheelie, this was my first ever experience with those two things.

I remember leaving the movie theater after watching this movie. Most of my friends and I already had little ricer racers... I immediately got a speeding ticket haha. The parking lot of the theater was electric. You never saw so many people revving their engines and peeling out etc...

Obviously it's just for entertainment anyways. Also in real life with that much adrenaline everything would be slower and in slow motion anyways. So this kind of gives the viewers a taste of both.

Even though vin diesel replace Paul walker as the main lead character starting from fast 4 to fate of the furious, Paul walker is the original and will always be the main lead character of the franchise and vin diesel will be second behind paul walker.
Dom was always the main character. Brian was the sub-main character. Vin Diesel was the star of the era, hence showing him at the first section of the movie as a surprise finale. Paul Walker was NOT the main character of the franchise. The whole franchise revolves around Doninick Teretto as he brings everyone together "as a family"
I think they're both the lead character. Paul is the lead Protagonist which is who we meet first. Vin Diesel is the Lead Antagonist whom we meet a little later in the movie. So both are the lead. Niether is better the the other because the franchise wouldn't exist without both.

I like how Dom blows a head gasket "I guess" and realizes and reflects to when Brian was new, he was given a car he hasn't yet fully understood and the learning curve for something like this is necessary. I like how they put such small details into the movie.

This scene is utterly horrible to anyone who knows anything about cars. It may as well be a flying car in space.
Many people say that if FAF kept the tunner cars and the street racing it would get boring really quick.Thats not true because if they still mixed action with tunner street racing like in the first three movies,the franchise would've sold A LOT more.Some of my friends said that FAF changed because of The Rock but that wasn't the case.Hobbs could've been portrayed like a character similar to Cross from Need For Speed Most Wanted and Carbon.Universal could've used his character as a cop who hates racers with utter passion and wants to put an end to street racing.They even could've made his own iconic cop car like how Cross has his Corvette.Such a wasted potential for these series only because people sell themselves to Vin Diesel,John Cena,Jason Stattham and The Rock.

I actually thought of this as a nice touch rather than a mistake. It's pretty reasonable for a lever behind the steering wheel to either move or get moved by the driver's hand during that sequence.

did you ever noticed that 1995-2002≈ movies had this pink style color palette? why is that?
I don't know but I love it! In my own shortfilms I use a "oldschoolcamcorder" with 4:3 etc. but with post processing the quality looks quite good and some color grading and you got the cinematic look

***** True af, I hate the way the newer movies look as of 2007- now because when they come out on tv it looks kinda cartoony when you have it on certain channels. I was watching transformers and fast 6 and it just looks kinda bluish and over saturated. Too colorful, it only looks right on my big 1080p HDTV with motion sync and I think 60 megahertz on but then it looks like you're right there or something instead watching a movie. In other words the older movies looked better.

The Charger is a curse in doms family so
Bad boys go out a bad boy. I think it's worse the Supra is riced to hell and needed modification to keep up with that Charger, especially being about 23 years newer and EFI than that Charger. Now, that's embarrasing.

An underrated part of this scene the use of reflections. I love how the two cars are reflected in the light before it turns green. Then how the Supra is reflected in the Black glass paint of Charger throughout the race is an absolute work of art.

Okay to the people that's saying this is the longest 10 sec race needs to know this, everything that was just showed happened in 10 secs. The reason why it's seems longer because it's a "film" so everything that they showed happened in 10 secs in the story. Everything that happened in that 2 mins of film really happened in 10 secs. That's crap... even if you cut out all scenes with the train and all slow motion scenes it still take those cars almost a full minute to wander down a quarter mile. Give it a watch from 0:40 to 0:50 the race would already be over.
re read my comment dude. its a movie man, their not gonna make that race scene just 10 secs. that wouldve been garbage, they added all the effects to make the movie look good. it all happened it 10 secs and those cars are fast so thats how they wander down a quarter mile that fast

@@dannyjohnson5777 The Supra weighed a lot more, though. It was never going to beat the Charger in real life. Don't get me wrong, the Supra was a cool car, it just weighed more, as modern cars do, and had a good bit less horsepower.
Vin Diesel's voice acting was SOOOOOOOO much better here....now he's sounds like Christian Bale's Batman -_-

That's street racing, not necessarily drag racing. I don't recall trains and semis crossing the tracks at a dragstrip.
WookieFragger Drag racing on the street is stupid as hell, but sanctioned drag racing isn't that unsensible if done properly and safely.
