      Thanks David. I am not really in the promotion business but just trying to provide some information so others can use it to make decisions. Cebu City is a small big city with enough going on that you will only be bored it you choose to be in my opinion.

    That looks a good place to look around on my next trip Rod, I plan to explore a few new places. So many of the restaurants there looked empty I thought. Interesting to hear you say a few of the Mango bars have closed now, I’ll be back soon to see which ones, I like the music bars on a Friday or Saturday night. Thanks for the tour.

      Thanks Brian. Mango doesn't have much anymore. There are a couple bars further down Mango Ave and side streets though. Times Square has new places open and opening soon since I was there last time.

    Amazing information, thank you. Have a quick question, where would one find an English Roast Beef dinner complete with Yorkshire Pudding in Cebu and do you think they would offer it on Christmas?

    • @AmazingPhilippines1
      @AmazingPhilippines1 4 роки тому

      Thanks and interesting question ksawa. "Western" style roast beef is quite rare here I think. I have had good roast beef at a restaurant called Brique. I think there are at least 3 in town with one being at Ayala Mall on the upper terrace area. They called it "drunken beef" and pretty good.

      Thanks. 30 minutes of less or longer during rush hour. About 200 pesos probably or a bit more in traffic. There are usually taxis hanging out in the area.

    Hello Rod. Music there is not bad. Over here at our place there is a nightly battle of the baddest, worst voice going on. Three houses all different songs. So much fun--right. Will have to make a trip down there soon. Have a great Christmas season. And just wait, New Year's eve will be here soon. Add in fireworks.

    • @AmazingPhilippines1
      @AmazingPhilippines1 4 роки тому

      Thanks David. The music (noise) is just crazy with 2 or more bars bleeding over each other. It is strange that they do it and even stranger that customers put up with it and don't just leave the area. Merry Christmas. Christmas and New Year are much quieter in the last year since they started enforcing rules that limit where fireworks can be set off.

      I have found the wifi with Globe to be better than Smart or Sun in most areas of Cebu City but didn't check it here. Most seating outside of businesses is for customers but not enforced at times depending on the business and how busy they are I suppose.

    I recommend the buffet 101 right when it opens for an awesome lunch..they have every kind of food you could imagine...and yes even at the fast food places when the only seat left at Mcdo is under the ceiling speaker they blast the music at ear splitting decibels..smh...I actually walked out one time and left my half eaten breakfast on the table...but next trip I will have my galaxy wireless earbuds to drown out the music...and be honest Rod you were thinking about using 2:52 as clickbait but decided not to.lol😂

    Shaba-Shaba is originally Japanese. It involves first cooking very thin Kobe beef in water in a pot at your table. Eventually vegetables are added to make a soup. According to my friends in Japan, Shabu-shabu is supposed to be the sound that the meat makes as you swish it though the hot water. I don’t think Kobe beef is here in Cebu. My visits to Japan was over 10 years ago and though I never paid, I think the per person price was $75+
