"Too much hair and not enough hair simultaneously" is one of the funniest description of Bill Baily I ever heard. No surprise he won, he is a truly talented man.
He is such an intelligent yet goofy man but nice with it.Never swearing as even my two favourites do or did…the late Sean Locke and The very present Greg Davies. I forgive them because they are so funny, but I miss Sean.
I saw Bill Bailey at Glastonbury many years ago, performing in some smallish tent. He was easily the best act of the entire event. He just seemed so natural, like everything he was doing was unscripted.
@@katherinepettus5132 Let's be honest, all the episodes are hysterical. I think my favorite is when Manny and Bernard write a children's book. _(Elephants and Hens)_ Also when Manny finds out he can play piano. _(The Entertainer)_
Bill Bailey is the most amazing human being! He's such a lovely, incredibly, kind and funny man! I'd love it if Bill toured the US!!!! Please Bill, come to Seattle!!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I caught the tail end of Strictly and was so pleased to see Bill doing well. But then I thought, why wouldn't he? He's been a musician his whole life. Well he took that lifetime of experience, paired it with his genuine personality, and won the dang thing. I'm not sure he was the best celebrity dancer, but he was the audience favorite, without cynicism. He won on entertainment, not perfect steps. And that's how he won me on Brit panel shows.
He took it seriously and put in the effort, and the audience could see it. Plus he's got such charm and that helped too I'm sure - for me, anyway! I don't know why people were surprised, but I love that he could prove them wrong :)
I would sell my soul to be able to come see you Lee and David on tour I never watch tv here in the states I onlty watch channel 4, BBC and anything else I can get here . also a huge fan of this show.
I remember seeing Bill Bailey on WILTY and on QI. Very funny and talented individual, and an awesome storyteller! As a musician myself, he puts others to shame. Loved hearing Rob and him talk together...even though Rob mentioned there were some technical difficulties during the recording, the conversation seemed to flow very smoothly and it was another relaxing episode to listen to!
wow I was just going to say what kind of school did Bill go to where he had various departments vying for his attention from music to sport to drama..and then I see he did attend a private school in Bath...yeah that'll explain it. Be great if more children just had access to arts edcuation,so many kids miss out on this in school or after school
Rob you are the man, I am so thankful you started posting live interviews, I love it! Bill Bailey is definitely one of a kind! Big fan! Can you try and do another interview with Ian Hislop!? If you can and he is able I would be eternally grateful 🙏 love and respect from Florida!
I was surprised people thought he'd be bad, tbh - I didn't think he was a shoe-in to win necessarily but he's got such musical aptitude I figured he'd have some natural rhythm to build off of. Not to suggest all musicians are good dancers but he's so musical, good in such a wide variety of instruments and musical styles, it felt like a safe bet
I vividly remember seeing The Rubber Bishops @ Cheltenham Town Hall, both dressed in long purple cassocks cruising sedately to the stage, one with a large crucifix around their neck the other with a large bottle opener and the performing Climbing The Stairway To Kevin's to the music of Stairway to Heaven. Very funny!
I was hoping for something about the Black Books series with Dylan Moran. Maybe another time. Thx for sharing. You have so many talented comedians over there.
I played music with my friend called Bryan in a band we called "Boris's Last Ceation". The only thing I could play was the electric fireplace, bongo and out of tune guitars whilst he played guitar, piano, drums and any instruments he could get his hands on. Got us lots of free booze. He was OK? Love him to the day I die. He was a brilliant musician. Violin playing in background. Sorry to lay that on you but I think Bill would know what I'm trying to say? ❤
We can't forget your other great collaboration, as part of the ensemble performance of "They Say Of The Acropolis Where The Parthenon Is"! ua-cam.com/video/GdvD4Fhc_K8/v-deo.html
And why the clip on mic as well as the desk one? Is one for the record the other for the Web chat? Doesn't it have a risk of feedback - or is that why there's the beefy cable?
@@chantalfinn6173 Aye! Haha, didn't know that acronym. Thanks for the clarification and yes, there definitely were some chicken noises there, weren't they! Maybe that's something you catch on during a pandemic when you're a celebrity? Keeping chickens?
I don't like the third person view cutaways, really shatters the whole thing about podcasts which it feels like sneaking in to a video call between freinds.
Bill looks very bald from the front, I thought he finally removed the few whisps he had at the back. He is a phenomenal writer and musician, no matter how establishment is he while claiming the opposite.
His hairstyle started looking daft many years ago now. Being a comedian, it hasn't mattered much, I suppose. As a person, however, it's high time to give it up. I love, respect, admire and envy you BB, but your few remaining strands have got to go.
YAWN! For two (usually quite funny) commedians, this is very thin gruel indeed. It is as if Brydon is going through Bailey's CV with a view to a position in middle management. I think both their Mojo's were on their hols for this lacklustre study in mediocrity.

I've also heard 'that bald man with the long hair'.
bill bailey once said someone described him as the bald man with all that hair

@@PetroicaRodinogaster264 Bill is still here. Appreciate him now so you won't regret it at some time in the future.
His head resembles a large egg and his hair flows down his back like a shower curtain.
Love Rob Brydon, very good interviewer, gentle comedic method, and of course, Bill Bailey, incredible talented in so many spheres and humble with it
It is SO REFRESHING to see a TV Host / Presenter actually uploading professionally recorded videos onto UA-cam! Rob clearly knows what he's doing! ❤️
Surrounded by musical instruments and with chickens clucking in the background is just pure Bill Bailey!
That made me smile when I heard the chooks.
Time to get comfy Bill is so freakin talented and genuinely nice bloke.
Also recommend Bill's Guide to the Orchestra, genuinely useful for identifying and listening to the sounds of the orchestra, plus Bill Bailey
Bill would be the ultimate taskmaster contestant
Agreed! I want that to happen so much!

I saw Bill Bailey at Glastonbury many years ago, performing in some smallish tent. He was easily the best act of the entire event. He just seemed so natural, like everything he was doing was unscripted.
If I could live in an interview, this one would be it. Two lovely, funny chaps chatting. 😍

Bill our favourite Renaissance Man 🖤👏
Fabulous. I don't know them personally, but I feel certain that these are two of the warmest men in show biz.
Bill Bailey is probably my favourite British comedian, I love this guy so much
Bill has so many talents, Rob forgot to add actor. Black Books and Hot Fuzz being two notable ones for me.
It's tax season so Black Books is on my mind... that first episode is hysterical.

SCD victory is simply a result of Bill working at it and became proficient at yet another instrument and the instrument of dance is the body.

Freestyle curling sounds great. One idea would be to hurl down a table and chairs to arrange a dinner set could be one objective.

Just got my tickets to see Bill in the New Swansea arena in May.
Bill Bailey maybe not quite a national treasure, but very much a national trinket.
Kinda objet d'art nationale.
Like a Faberge fried egg.

I read the blurb about him doing Strictly and I had to go look, and now I just wonder if there's anything Bill Bailey CAN'T do....

Must confess, I had a feeling he would win strictly.
Others laughed at me, but…

Rob, can you talk a little about your technical setup that you use here? That's quite the microphone cable you have.
And why the clip on mic as well as the desk one? Is one for the record the other for the Web chat? Doesn't it have a risk of feedback - or is that why there's the beefy cable?
I love Beautiful people, you and Bill. So many arseoles in the world who want to make it worst for others? If you haven't got love you have nothing.
