- Why are guns in the hands of teenagers? In the case Nyah Mway, a replica of a Glock 17 handgun was in the hands of the 13-year-old the night he was killed by a police officer in Utica.

Where are the parents, why was a 13 yrs old running around with a gun at night, why did he pointed at the Police, why didn't he complied with Police and decided to run?
The Police did what they had to, in their minds it was either them or the child, I would've chose my life. Too many officers die in a line of duty.
I blame the parents for being irresponsible, and failure to care for their child responsibility. Good children dont run around with toys that look like real gun at night, they're at home and being supervised by responsible parents.
This country is not safe for the kids to used toy guns, company should stop selling.
In NYS it is illegal for anyone under 16 to have a pellet/ bb gun. At 13 a child can't own it, not legally allowed to have it. And don't point guns at people... let alone police
This person's life is gone because of his own actions not because of a gun, real, or pellet. You've got to be of childlike mentality not to catch the biased media with this stuff.😂😂
Any 13 y/o should reasonably be expected to know better than what this young fella did that cost him his life. Police read people and situations, and people’s cooperation can really go a long way. It’s taking chances and acting unpredictable in that threatening seeming way, that not just police, but nobody really cares for.
I don’t suppose the boy had a secret death wish? Only people should ever be blamed for these things, because that’s the most realistic and exactly on point.
Both of you are ignorant asf.
The boy didn't run because he had a pellet gun. The boy ran from police because he was robbing people with that pellet gut..
why does this sound like they want airsoft control now? holy shit we cannot let them take the guns.
Because there’s probably some devoutly leftist groups out there that really think so, that air gun control should be implemented, even though that’s absolutely asinine and makes criminals in its wake, far and wide.
Why can’t they just make absolutely certain that if you’re like that young guy at all, dead now, sadly, and you’ve got that particular pellet pistol on your person, that you are unlikely to ever be shot by the police if that gun is NOT in your hands at the time, most important is that you’re not showing any interest in challenging them to any kind of combat. Also, just not acting like you’d ever got a chip on your shoulder, showing you favour brains over balls, so that they don’t have to favour bullets over words. It makes sense.
OMG STOP! ....He had a gun! Stop catering to this BS. The police were dealing with an individual that pointed a gun at them.
Yep, all it takes is for police to become reasonably satisfied that it is a real gun that the suspect has and is pointing it at them and in the way of doing harm, from being reckless.
If that what the 13 y/o boy was doing, did he not know that police don’t like it when others point guns at them? It’s very threatening and they will respond according to training, which ultimately, is to go for your own gun and use it on the threat - fast!
They’re not mind readers, they don’t know what the suspect does know. It’s black and white and it is always the same old deal - so, *DON’T!!* Cannot be any clearer than that.
Nope. kid ain’t point the gun at him at all. Lil nigga had his hands covering his face then the cop shoots him point blank
"But unfortunately, much of that work can be undone in just seconds ..."
What a putrid statement. "Refugees" from Myanmar are fully aware of what police are and what they do. Despicable.
Don't point a fake gun at police
Why are parents not being a responsible parent
Maybe the family could explain the robberies their "little boy" was out doing.
There was no mention of robbery in the video. It is unknown if he was involved in any robberies. You’re more sure than I’d ever be not knowing, but I’d have lingering suspicions myself.
@@grahambrown1980 It has been in the reporting. Your comprehension stinks.
@@BirdDogey1I don’t know about you, but I’m actually Canadian, this video clip is all I have to go by.
I was neither confirming nor denying the 13 y/o’s involvement in any robberies. Obviously, you have the rest of the story, and I, as personal policy, don’t go by hearsay, especially online.
@@grahambrown1980 On another note, I recommemd the movie Slap Shot. Every Canadian I know loves it.
@@BirdDogey1 Lol! That and Strange Brew! 🍻🍺
I'm married to a Karen woman And am integrated in the Karen community.
This is not a representation of this community.
Everyone of them that I know are god fearing, welcoming people. They will let you in their house and feed you even if you're a complete stranger.
Nothing but respect for & to them.
With that said, i'm a realist.
So here's some insight from someone who's been involved With them for the last 7 years.
Everything I just said is more than true, These young kids on the other hand... A lot of them are very good and then there's many who are like this kid here.
I've said it before and I continue to say it - Parenting problem.
A lot of the Karen older community does not know english or very little and these kids take advantage of that 💯.
Argue, all you want I've seen it plenty and plenty of times. For example , at church , every sunday kids 10 and under are cussing like 25 year olds with zero punishment.
No ethnicity are 100% perfect.
With that said, there are a lot of parents in this group as well that could care less what their kids are doing and then something like this happens and then they want to cry after the fact.
Bad children are the result of bad parenting. Of course some children don't have both parents and that's different.
But like so many people have commented -What was that kid at 13 years old doing outside with a fake gun.
And that's not a question, It's a "open up your eyes."
We don't need to be looking at the fruit, we don't need to be looking at the branches, we don't need to be looking at the leafs, We don't need to be looking at the tree, We need to start looking at the roots and those are the parents.
And that's for all of america not just this one group.
If america as a whole was like this our country would be a much better place.
We need to effectively look at the situation so we can see how to prevent it in the future, and im talking to the Karen in America.
If you really love your kids like you're crying right now for him, Observe, learn and make sure we teach this next generation better.
Being out at night with a fake gun pointing in at cops or anyone for that matter (UNLESS you're utilizing self defense) is an embarrassment on your parents, your people and giving them a bad reputation.
It doesn't matter who it is - if I see you doing wrong and I say you're doing right... That could lead another kid, maybe in a year from now, five years from now or ten years from now to follow in those footsteps and they think they doing NOTHING wrong..
You need to zoom out and start looking at the big picture...
If I care for you, I'm gonna help you by telling you hey... you messed up, that's wrong.
So you don't influence another little boy or girl negatively in the future.
Bad parenting by letting him out doing that type of behavior unless he snuck out, then that would be a different story.
We're just gonna have to wait for the full report...
I’ve been saying this for years. No one wants to listen to that. This doesn’t fit their agenda
It was reported that he told his mom he was going to the store.
That said, thanks for weighing in. Lot to think about here.
We're watching outside instigators pumping the community up, and inside young activists calling for the cops' heads. The mayor just "postponed" the fireworks out of "respect".
It's nuts.
@navrhy3075 Yeah that's the cold truth .. no one cares, so no one listens.
Just keeping eyes on the Lord with hopes of a better world 🌎 is all that keeps good folks going. Cause this corrupt world ain't it.
Why would he act like he thought it would be okay for him to go for his pellet gun while running from the cops? Did he not think they’d shoot him if he presented a threat to them? Was he suicidal?
I've stated that to Karen people in my community.
If he knew he had a fake gun , why would he point it at the cops as if it would do something - Doesn't seem right in the head..
@grahambrown1980
People get arrested for gun all the time but ain’t get kill….yall making sound like he had a real gun
He pointed the fake gun at a cop. Please educate yourself. Your ignorance is utterly ridiculous.
Parenting as well!
THATS NOT A OLD FASHION BB GUN, BUT WAS THAT GUN YALL SHOWN AT THE SHOP, OR WAS THAT HIS VERY OWN BB GUN?
She was only axed for her date of birth.
😬🪓 You do realize actions speak louder than words.😆
@@grahambrown1980 He's just quoting the idiot reporter. 0:36
0:36 & 1:25 so far. This reporter is ridiculous.
Lol. I started shooting firearms at age 6. My child started shooting at age 6.
The problem isn’t kids and/or guns, the problem is poor parenting.
And I am white 😂😂 if we have gun, we are thug to you guys
@jacksonpark6470 isn't there an absent father somewhere you should be disappointing?
Yesir
You can’t blame the parents
@@Artist_KnyawReally, as a single parent do you think I will let my child run around with a fake gun at night. Mine has his little ars at home, and I keep a good eye on both of them. It's parent (s), responsible to oversee their children.
If the police officer reasonably perceives a threat to their life or the lives of others, they may be justified in using force. The realism of the fake gun can significantly impact the officer's perception of threat. If the gun appears real, the officer may have little time to determine that it is not The legality of using force in such situations varies by jurisdiction. Some states have specific statutes regarding the use of force on minors, and police department policies may further restrict or guide officer actions.
Of course, they will focus on the toy gun and not on the fact that he was trying to rob people. The issue is the kid was starting his criminal life, and it got cut short.
Omg, people who are on the police side, if you are the boy parent, you will not be on the police side.
The kid was acting like a delinquent! that’s the kid the parents were raising.do you think he had intentions of being a better person as life went on ?the kid was on the fast track to be more of a criminal, and don’t tell me he wouldn’t have had a “real” gun if he could have.intentions have consequences.
No pity
If I see "teen" in the title, I already know who's involved and their beautiful non-violent culture.
For once, I was wrong. However, we're still dealing with an exotic who probably listens to a ton of rap.
You know that violent themed music like a lot of rap, even violent movies and video games, only deludes the minds of people who already have problems.
I really doubt making a casual association is really good enough, if I’m correct in what you were alluding to.
I am against police brutality and use of force but in this case,i blame the parents not the police, blame the parents who can't raise their children right
Why blames the parents? What if they tried their best to raised him but still this kids grew up to be a deuce bag. Look you could be the best parent and your kids could still turn out bad or you could be the worst parent and your children could still turn out a good kid my point is we don’t know what kind of a parent they were and shouldn’t make any judgment until we actually know what type of parent they are
@@leofajardo713 then he pay the price and they pay the price,
@@Zouhair-rg4hy and your point is, what?
@@leofajardo713 I don't have coloring crayons to explain it to you
@@leofajardo713 one little punk future criminal of the street 😆😆😆
It is not about a gun, it is about upbringing of these teenagers that should be questioned. The object in their hands was not a gun, but an airsoft gun. It is how the teenagers used it which should be in question. Who didn't teach them that these realistic toy guns should not be abused to commit a crime?
Blame everything except the actual culprit - the culture.
What tf is the culture got to do with this punk
So, it’s ok to point a fake weapon at officers, and they’re supposed to wait till they’re sure it’s not real?? Incredible!
Kid made a terrible choice.
If the same guy with bb gun why don't you post the clear picture that kind don't have a Blue hat and long hair before police stop him this is particular

Where is this coming from?
😢😢😢😢😢
Freedom of speech. Where is the freedom??
Officer “comply or die”
@3:01...she's trying to make it seem like the police did wrong. Biased media !!!!😂
It's the ignorance and lack of responsibility of this culture. Many parents are just as bad as their children. The end result is never pretty, so they blame others for what they failed to do as parents.
She has something fundamental in common with the kid and his parents. I didn’t really sense anything like that, considering what the police were responding to, maybe ONE second is about all you have to make your decision on what to do.
Raises a way bigger question about parental responsibility.
He could have been threatening people.Police don't feel guilty this child was wrong
Cambodians are much smarter and always listen to the police.
You lie police 👮 worng
Start letting the cops find out the gang sources for guns its not a store or gun show whos suppling them andxas far as airsoft idk try to sue them
Stop safe bb gun
BB guns are real guns.
Bruh off course
What happened to duty to retreat 😂
What? That's never been a think
The cop did what he had to do for him and his partners to get home to their loved ones. The kid did not.
It is the fact that police is trigger happy that cellphones, used tea anything in you hand is a wepon.
