I agree, the closed upper door, her prompting to go to the basement, and her running with you to appear to be on your side we’re highly shady. It could have been a human trafficking setup, but they prob wouldn’t have allowed an escape. Perhaps she wanted her roommate done away with so she could live alone.
The last story: it was obvious Annie set her up. What a coincidence that Annie wasn’t surprised when there was no party in the living room, and she just happened to know the party was in the basement just to have the wrong address in the end. I’m not buying it. And the door being closed when leaving the basement was a big giveaway.

Lock your door, FFS! Why would you leave it open when there’s someone you don’t know at all? After the first weird incident I would have bought a lock and installed it. If the dorm rules don’t allow the doors to be changed, OP could still get a wedge door stopper, an alarm that’ll go off if the door is opened, put something heavy in front of it, or tie something noisy to the doorknob so that it can’t be opened quietly. Anything is better than pretending to be asleep and hoping that nothing happens. Who cares if locking the door hurts the roommate’s feelings? He’s a creep anyway.

School was always a nightmare for me. Even college, it was nothing at ALL like I'd been hearing all my life. It was like high school horror times 10....only the professors get paid out of your pocket to torment you.
I still do sometimes!! Digital photos are overrated, unless you're taking them just to show people your selfies or post online. Printing them out, they look crappy.
