this one and "lost you somewhere" is by far the two best tunes of chicane...i remember back in the days when i was a Dj i used to mix the two tracks and the people were going crazy instantly.
Are they even in key? I'll have to have a crack myself! But yeah, these two tracks - and most Chicane between 1995-2000 - are just incredible. They just don't age!
Well pretty much everything in and around Far from the Maddening Crowd is of this ilk. I found he went really south (just my opinion) with Saltwater and the pieces he did with Brian Adams and B*Witched. It all got wayyyyy too commercially leaning and he clearly changed his sound to suit.
I think 99 percent of what he did after second album went down south indeed. But not saltwater and behind the sun. Although I can understand if you didnt like the more vocal filled album that made it a tad more accessible to people.
It’s complicated but the way to clarify it is. Disco Citizens became Chicane so Apple Music doesn’t have the rights to use any of Chicanes music before they became Chicane
