The main reason they can't, straight away at least. Because of cars that might be all wheel drive or front wheel drive. Or have handling that wouldn't suit it. So if you think it makes sense

The Calico is a clone of the Celica T20 from the mid 90s. This was a Rally car. Drifting yes, but only in offroad situations. So you should try it against other Rally cars. There are enough in the game. Imo the car is good for what it is.
It's important to note that visual upgrades on cars in this game shift their center of mass (a lot more than you think they would) And for some reason, neon by far has the strongest effect. So a car without any visual upgrades will handle and drift completely different than a car that has a gigantic wing and rear neon
Finally, after so long... I don't have to spend five minutes collecting my Schwartzer, finding a place to slam it without getting cops, and driving around in free mode only to get blown up shortly after I start drifting.
@@noobdudegaming1018 slamming doesn’t refer to lowering the suspension in LS Customs, it means shooting a specific spot on each four of the wheels/fenders such that the suspension is lowered even further, twice per wheel. There are videos out there showing how to do it, it essentially makes the car handle a lot differently. Lower suspension, higher top speed because of curb boosting, but harder to turn and a lot more wheel spin. Better for drifting. To find out how to do it, just look ip a tutorial on how to slam/lower cars in GTA V. Most of them you shoot a part of the rim, but some cars blow up when you do that, like the Futo, so you have to shoot a part of the fender.

I mean, the tuning races are basically that; only the new dlc cars, packed races with a lot of turns on flat road... I think drifting will soon be the meta in those races, since it's the best way to keep momentum after so many turns

However it's difficult and likes to spin out all the way when I try to drift. but I tried driving my s2k with the low stance and realized how amazing it slides so now it's my main car for both lol.

If you are racing a good way to take a turn in a race you can engage a drift while applying gas and brake to sharpen turns if needed and is great for sharp turns or tight streets and even works with 4WD it's just that you need to hold in the e brake longer to get all wheels to slide and the more power you use with proper brake and angle technique will allow you to keep a consistent line
I say the best vehicle for drifting is the RT3000 but its also the worst on customizations options that i personally seen too which is a shame considering this is the cutest car ever made.
Haven't actually properly drifted any of the new cars yet with the stanced/low grip tyres setup, but certainly looks like a lot of fun can be had with them😮 though the other day I took my Drift Tampa for a spin, re-creating what the NPCs were doing with drifting around the pillars, as well as having fun drifting it around the track!😛👍
Do slicks give more grip on a road car? Most likely not. That’s why people get new tyres when they become “bald” which is pretty much useless for anything @Toma . Obviously f1 tyres are faster for their own reasons but only really on an f1 car

I usually rate drift cars based on the potential it has. An example would be the RT3000. Lowered with low grips on, its probably the most difficult car to drift. Its wheels spin with little throttle & if you try to full send it, you'll spin out every time... Even though its the most difficult to drift (IMO) it has the most potential for long & precise drifts due to the very reasons it makes the car difficult to handle. With good throttle & steering control, you can pull off some pretty long & clean lines on the test track with any of the new cars running a "level 4" setup. Also, why is no one talking about the Dominator GTT being so fast in a long straight running level 4???

Hey Pyre Realm, I'm having a surprisingly hard time drifting these cars that are supposed to be super easy to drift. Always spin out and can't keep the drifts going/connect them. Any chance you can throw some tips my way? I'm sure I just don't know the proper technique, I'm clueless as to what speed I should carry, when to/if use the e brake vs normal brake, etc. Any help would be appreciated!!

Cato has a steep buy in if you haven’t done it before also people gotta learn to navigate the heist to do it solo effectively
@@meechtree5795 get a friend. Both do the setups seperatly do heists together get 900k for each heist. You can do heist in 15min. Setups in 45min.

Remus is good for drifting if you only bump the engine upgrade up to level 2. Anything higher and it’s spins out but that’s the sweet spot for me.
