I have to say I really really don't want JJ and Kie to get together for a lot of different reasons. JJ and Kie don't really have romantic chemistry. JJ already said he'd tried to get with her and she didn't let it happen. Plus, with JJ's mental state at the end of this season I don't think he can handle being in a relationship. I also don't want to see Kiara be that one stereotype of the girl who messes around with all of her guy friends. Also, I really want to see what the writers do with Pope and Kie. They have the potential to be such a cute couple! Pope deserves to be happy and in a relationship just as much as JJ! I would love to see JJ end up with someone in a future episode, but I don't think it should be with Kiara.
i honestly didn’t even notice Kie&JJ. But then I saw on Insta that’s a thing, went back to watch the show and really saw the chemistry (and some very specific cute scenes). So... I am on the JJ&Kie train now😂 (just literally watch one edit and i am sure u’ll be too)

Just watch an edit or two and you will see why everyone wants JJ & Kie together. The chemistry is unmatched & the fact that they didn’t even plan it as a love triangle just shows how real JJ & Kies chemistry is!

Like, I don't hate Pope and Kie as a "couple", I just think it came out of nowhere. The creators didn't explore it enough. Maybe it it had happened some episodes before, maybe I would like it a little more. But as she said, one day Kie's harshly turning him down saying it's never gonna happen, and the next day, right after John B left, they're all emotional and shit, and Kie kisses him. Like, to me it was just an "in the heat of the moment" thing. One of my theories, is that Kie liked John B romantically, she just turned him down when he kissed her 'cus she didn't want to break the "no pogue on pogue macking" rule not to ruin the friendship they had and 'cus she thought it was another "in the heat of the moment" thing. And probably another reason for her to get so mad at John B for dating Sarah was that she actually liked him, and she just couldn't accept the fact that her crush was dating her worst enemy, in my opinion. So, to me, either she wasn't over John B, and "used" Pope as a confort, even though I don't think Kie would do that, or it was just in the heat of the moment. They were all sad, there was this really heavy vibe in the air, and when you notice they're kissing. I honestly don't think Kie likes Pope the way he likes her, so to me we'll find out in season two that they decided to be just friends, and that whole thing was like a summer fling.
And I'm just gonna be honest with ya'll, I think Kie shouldn't have kissed him. She clearly doesn't like him that way. You don't change your feelings for someone overnight. She's kinda playing with his feelings, if she doesn't feel the same way about him, and that's pretty messed up. Pope deserves someone who actually loves him, the way he loves Kie. I wanna see Pope get a girlfriend in season 2. One who actually cares about him, and would do anything to see him happy.

@thelastingmoment ok first of all, and respectfully: I didn’t say that they needed a gay couple so the show can be good. I said it would make it better than it already is, in my opinion, cus it would make the show more realistic. And second of all, who said I was talking about jj, pope or jb…? Cus i didn’t. If the writers decided to make one of them come out as gay, that’s okay, but I wasn’t talking specifically about them. I was saying that if eventually a gay couple is created, then perfect. It could have sounded like i was talking about them, but i wasn’t. I was also including lesbian couples on that sentence. And if I wanted jj, pope, or john b to date one of the guy pogues, it would be my opinion, so the way you answered to my comment would have been kinda rude. In fact, I don’t even ship any of the guy pogues. Like, I don’t ship JJ and Pope, or JJ and JB, etc. But since I wasn’t 100% clear, I won’t take it personally, cus that would be stupid. And about the last thing you said, I agree. People need to understand that just because boys are caring towards their loved ones, such as friends, it doesn’t make them gay at all. I actually say many times, that guys who are caring, affectionate, and sensitive shouldn’t be treated badly and called “gay” as an insult, cus it isn’t. I even made a whole oral presentation about it. I hope I made myself clear, and sorry if I sounded rude. I just don’t really appreciate when people make wrong assumptions about me or what I say.

Literally same. I always felt like kie went for pope because it seemed like a safe option, he’s a good guy and she tried to convince herself they could be something. But there was no chemistry there.
I think people want kie and JJ together because they have a lot of chemistry and in I think it was ep 3, she asks John B if he told JJ about their kiss and the way she says it... its confusing haha
Also.. I didn't see that kiss with pope and Kie coming. Kie never let show that she liked Pope like that and I didn't pick up on Pope liking her until he said so. Just in watching Outerbanks again I saw what they were trying to do... but I think it was too subtle...

I would highly recommend watching the series for a second time because you realize so much more than what you see the first time you watch it!! You notice the way jj looks at kie and notice so many more funny lines of hissed the others!! I feel like kie just kissed pope because they were so distraught from just saying goodbye to John b and it was an in the moment type of thing!! I fullyyyy support JJ and kieeeeee!!! Even the way she asked John b did he tell jj about their kiss and also did you see the way jj looked at kie when she kissed pope.... my heart cannot take it.... I love him so muchhhh!!!

In real life Pope still would have been rejected at the end by kie but because of it being a show they decided to throw a little love in there at the end

Kiera is obviously interested in JJ. She asked John B in Ep. 2 if he told JJ about their kiss. She never once seemed interested in Pope. That kiss looked out of symphony and maybe is just with him to not hurt his feelings. It's a one sided relationship. The guy almost killed someone. Everytime JJ did that? He always held back. But confused too as to why Kiera would want to be with someone she doesn't have feelings for. They'll explore that in Season 2 I think. And JJ/Kiera will finally be a thing. It'll probably be a 2 season build into that very moment. Pope I never liked. He just seemed like a baby all the time.

I think the best part of the ending was that it’s a cliffhanger in multiple stages for multiple characters. It’s devastating bc they don’t know John b and Sarah are alive. I think JJ is going to become super mental unhinged at loosing John B. You have the potential justice possibilities for the murders. You have the fallout of relationships. The boat is destroyed so JJs dad def going to kill him. There’s probably worse bad guys in the Bahamas bc like who sent those two bad guys from earlier? I’m PUMPED.
