In German there are two different ways to translate the word “you”: Formal = Sie, Casual = Du. In face-to-face interactions, the formal "Sie" is the standard way of addressing someone. However, when the person you are speaking to is the same age as you (or younger) and you are pretty young yourself - you could venture to use "du" right away, especially when the setting is relaxed (at a party, in a bar, etc). In this video, both people are fairly young, and around the same age, so the conversation starts with “du” phrases, although depending on the situation (official/business), it would sometimes start with "Sie” phrases, like: Wie heißen sie? (What’s your name?) Sprechen sie Deutsch? (Do you speak German?) You shouldn’t switch from sie to du without saying anything. Switching to the informal "du" at a official/business setting usually requires that you know and like each other well, at some point one will offer the "du" - traditionally, the older one to the younger one. If you would address someone in English by saying Sir ___, Mr. X or Mrs. Y, you should use Sie in German. Children are addressed with "du" by default. On the internet/social media, the informal "du" is the default form and being addressed with "Sie" is unusual.
freud tried to understand the teutonic mugglemonster mind and came up with the concept projection. germans tried to exterminate the the jews but what they really wanted was someone to exterminate them! viola! russians almost did but they're too retarded.⚜ german mugglemonsters were being raped and killed by the russians it was what they always wanted that's why they intentionally messed up at dunkirk, at stalingrad, in africa they want us to destroy them because they know they are neanderthals! since they are neanderthals by their dna we can also eat germans right? Because they are animals without human souls since they are neanderthal descendants!
Excellently described. Sie is formal and du is informal. Always be formal as formal could be used in informal but informal cannot be used in formal. This applies to dress wear in parties as well.
As someone who is learning german with Duolingo, videos like this is helping me to understand conversations and pronunciations, I just need someone to talk with in german.
duolingo is not a good primary source for learning a language. its more of a game that gives you the illusion that you're learning something, but are actually not. you can easily spend years on duolingo and still not know shit.
Learning German can be hard and so challenging at first sight but it is an interesting language to learn because it interests me a lot although there are many difficulties to overcome when it comes to diving into the language as well as the culture. German has a complex grammar because it contains four cases, I mean has declensions which can represent a headache, but if I'm willing to put in the effort, there's nothing that stops me from starting learning it. The language has grammatical quirks of course, they're likely to be a little daunting but it's just necessary accepting how its grammatical structure works instead of trying to understand it deeply. This language is one of my target languages certainly, and I would like to organize my schedule rather than having uncertainties for getting into it. English is already my second language, it's not perfect at all and I'm still working on it in order to improve my skills everyday, besides I think that learning and acquiring English is the best choice to start learning other languages that are easy to pick up, because it's like a gateway to discovering the fascinating language learning field and also having more knowledge and curiosities about our giant world. German is undoubtedly an engaging language with a rich history and culture and it's worth learning. I always say to myself "Just keep going" ❤.
@@muhammadfarooq7007 I couldn't agree with you more. I just got my German studies back and I can notice that the language is impressively easy and entertaining to learn.

You should post more videos about french because it's the second-most widely learned foreign language in the world after english. The video you've posted about french did break the 3 million views while the other videos you did about spanish and portuguese did barely break the 500 000 views except for one or two of them. So, if you want more views on your videos, I highly recommend you to post more videos about french. Trust me. People love to learn this beautiful language.
