I remember high school, but I don't miss it, Ashy, you are the sweetest girl ever, and I love you
I hope school for Ashy turned out okay. What happened on the school’s part was completely not acceptable. The teachers should know that is stated in her IEP that she needs help with safety and communication. I am glad you guys made the right decision and drive her to school. I hope the communication gets better between the previous school and the junior high school as well as you guys. You guys are doing great.
A similar situation happened in 9th grade especially. Except I am required less assistance because I’m independent. So I went with my friends to Orientation like I was supposed to and we went to home room which we called advisory. Then during an activity, a teacher came in and said “Oh there you are. I’m gonna have to call your parents.” I was embarrassed and I was wondering what I did wrong? It was out of the blue. Then instead of being treated like everyone else, I got an Assistant Teacher and I was humiliated. In the assembly I ended up sitting in the 11th grade section with my TA instead of sitting with my own grade. There wasn’t communication at all. I thought I was going in and being treated like a high schooler. Instead I was treated like I was in elementary school again. I wished that my previous teachers communicated as well as my parents and I. Eventually it did get better by the next year.
I have bestie who has special needs with sisters as well but she has 2 sisters plus a half brother this family reminds of my bestie plus her 2 sisters helping her , but ashy has 3 sisters,

For the shirt biting you should try a chew necklace.
If you haven't already.
My friend used to do that and what helped her is she had a rubber band to chew on. She also chewed gum and it also worked for her.
