What a treat to have Trevor analyze your mechanics! He is obviously an extreamly intelligent and humble person who has not only studied pitching mechanics intensely but has also risen to be amongst the best professional pitchers of our time. Trevor is one professional athlete I'd love to meet in person in my life. I'm 46 and I have been sucessful using his videos for months to springboard my throwing performance after 33 years (little league) of absence from the greatest sport ever invented.
Even with proper mechanics no one throws a perfect game every time out! You're doing great work with this for the up & coming youngsters & that's the big picture.
It's crazy to me that I was breaking this stuff down in my own mechanics in 2002-2004 with Jonathan and Tim Adkins while I was in high school... being 5'7" you gotta learn every trick to create speed and I got to 91mph avg my senior year and hit 94 a few times... went to college for a year then AA for the reds and blew out my arm... came out with a3 year pain pill habit and in 2010 went back to golf and now at 36 getting ready to start playing mini tours again at a +4hc.. same break downs go into my golf swing which has my average driver carry at 318yds and completely gassed over 350 carry.... but now that I have a son playing baseball I've got into the game heavily again
Man, kids these days have such an advantage being able to learn from one of the best aces in the game (Trev) in such an analytical and detail specific manner. All you high school players don't know how good you have it. Good on you Trevor for outlining everything so clearly.
Thank you so much for still making videos. They’re so awesome to watch. And a guarantee once the season starts up again your views are gonna skyrocket again
Look where he is by the time he realeses the ball. So sick. He's 6"10 and takes a huge step then uncoils his lanky body and by the time he releases hes multiple feet closer to the plate than an average pitcher. That sucks when the guy throws 95-97 consistently and can reach back for 100+ if/when he wants. The ball is is just on top of you
think that it is amazing that you are willing to help people get the right mechanics to achieve maximum potential. You sir are awesome for doing so and i applaud you
Thank you for this video and the other video you did breaking down the different kids and their mechanics. You really know your stuff brother. We missed the 6hr window to send you a video and would love to send a video of my 16 year old so you can break it down. Is there another place we can send it? Thank you and keep up the good content!
Hi Coach Bauer, thanks for the breakdown. Would you mind telling me the telestrator app you use. I do tennis biomechanics and I like your telestrator better than sn the one I use. Best wishes Sawinski
Why does it matter at all how hard a pitcher throws (within reason). Isn't the relative change in speed between his different pitches what matters, along with their accuracy?
Curious about the lifting of the elbow above the shoulder. I understand how that could cause injury so how in the world was a Walter Johnson able to lift his elbow so high and throw so many pitches per game?
hacking pitching like bauer does works for me well worked up until the fourth inning! I will tell you why. obviously i am not a professional as fishy as it may sound lol ok so around the 2nd batter i faced in the fourth my legs began to disconect from my brain which was weird because i had control over my legs all the way up until this point. WEIRD i didnt know how to react all i knew that it was time to call in my catcher. I communicated w/ my catcher i told him this would be the last batter he said ok and we decided to finish the at bat. luckily we got the oout and i came out. any advice for next game Mr. Bauer?
7:20 i think his elbow need to be parallel or a little bit lower than his shoulder level, when the ball is behind his head! ( yea you mentioned that nice) at 9:20 12:54 , his eye level need to keep looking at the catcher's glove,,,dont look down! 16:25, its a typical inverted W type,,,,, not good,,,before his ball reaches the position that behind his head,,,,his elbow can not be higher than his shoulder level and 17:18 his back leg is not fully extended like Trevor Bauer! tell him stop copying or learning from "Anthony Reyes" haha 24:35 , his back leg need to stay relax....so his back foot (right foot) wont left up ,... this is the same problem for mark buehrle, ( well minor problem) 28:35 i think he just need to stride forward ( or lean) not vertically like sitting down on a chair type of back hips , 32:50 another elbow higher than shoulder level before the ball is behind his head... ! seriously i dont understand why people like that type of arm swing! (like anthony reyes or joel zumaya) so bad! but the rest mechanics of his is good!
I’m literally shaking can believe I got in a video thank you for the feedback I really really appreciate
Which one is you?

Well, the batters do have a say you know...
Hello! Thanks for breaking down my mechanics, I'm the first guy (the one that's indoors). I'm 16yo and throw around 80, 185lbs.
Have you incorporated any of these tips? Any improvement?
I'm just watching the video for the first time

A whole hour of breakdowns, wow thanks!!
dope vid. Imagine an mlb player breaking down your film... insane!

Hello, Can’t wait for more videos!
Do one for Aroldis when he pitched 105mph!!!
That hurts my shoulder just viewing this video, lol.
Cannot wait to see you pitching in the league again man.
Awesome indepth analysis.
These are awesome. Keep em coming. Thanks!
Awesome content really enjoy watching all your clips appreciate your work
I am a huge fan of you Trevor!
What up GOAT
Thanks for these breakdowns
Free bauer!!!
can you break down Tim Lincecum?? he has such interesting mechanics and how he generated that much velo for his size.
Wow I just commented the same exact thought
Hurt his hip & it ended his career. Got a lot out of a smaller frame.
Break down Tim Lincecum’s good years.
Oh my that elbow is doing a ton
I would love to see Trevor Bauer do a breakdown of Nolan Ryan's mechanics.
Randy Johnson is above average for a "shoulder swing" ... thank for allowing me to vote
Trevor‘s hair is gray This shit is getting to him
Bro if you want to break someone's mechanics down do Tim Lincecum.
バウアーさん、わかりやすい解説、有り難うございます!
Do you have any advice/tips on what to focus on when you just started learning how to pitch?

Thanks, this taught me alot!
Anyone know what software he's using to show vid /rewind /draw?
Jack Lieter next would be cool.
Honestly if you don’t throw a ball you’re solid no one expects first pitch throwers to be Randy Johnson and drill a 90 or throw a change up.
Would love to see a breakdown of Aroldis!
you only need two words to break down chapman, untouchable beast
Two words. Jose Altuve
What app is that to mark on the videos ?
1:33 i always assumed he didnt drop bc he was 7 feet tall
Edit: 4:35 yes
This is sooo RAD🤙🤙
Wassup trevor
Please do Maddux next - that would be interesting.

Any film on you hitting? Please

hey trevor, what do you think about arm layback? i saw some arm layback on him but maybe he's just able to withstand it for a split second.
More colors and head bands pkease bro! Got flow like your buddy Mike C. Needing those bands during practice 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I think the headband needs to be retired. My dude Trevor Bauer was out there lookin like a Wal Mart Brandon Crawford ;)
Do tim lincecum
What app do you use to draw on an iPad?
32:00 can you do a vid on ir and er dominant hip guy’s
Curious about the lifting of the elbow above the shoulder. I understand how that could cause injury so how in the world was a Walter Johnson able to lift his elbow so high and throw so many pitches per game?
It all depends in if your arm can tske the motion or not. For me if I throw at 2o clock I can pitch all gsme any different I gotta in the bullpen
I want a signed hat!!!
We going to be seeing a comeback with you?

Are you still reviewing mechanics? If so how can I get a review?
💥💥💥
Why does it look like Randy is aiming for another bird.
i need you like m pitching coach man
Yooooo how are you doing today?
Have you ever pitched into a rectangular strike zone wooden box to become sharper at pitching strikes?
Make a video on Lincecum
