In comparison in the first season of FT Lucy was weak. Wendy could probably fight back against Gajeel but still lose, Lucy isn't the strongest person in FT. Compared to Wendy she's weak.

And if u don't know first hiro said himself if he made anyone cannon it would be NaLu 2. Hiro loves it when the two main protagonist(male and female) end up together go back to rave.
