Everyone is sprinting towards their own goals. Chaos is sure to ensue.

Man Mechamaru is really underrated and unappreciated compared to many in 1st/2nd year he was probably the strongest/ 2nd strongest like all the stuff he had, how smart he is and that big mech he had i dont think many people could've won that 1v1
Realistically, the only currently introduced student (in the anime)I think could have won a 1v1 with prep time Mechamaru is Todo. And thats purely because of being able to swap Mechamaru OUT of his mech and give him the hands. If would be a match up diff, not because he was outright stronger exactly. And if Mechamaru was capable of controlling that big mech remotely form 1000 miles away (like he could with all his others) and just chose not to against Mahito due to being stuck in an enclosed space and needing the protection.......then I would give that to Mechamaru over Todo. Hell, even Mechamaru's random drone puppets (the ones he had swarm Mahito as a distraction) I'm pretty sure were stated in a databook to be on par with the average Grade 2 sorcerer. Which is nothing to scoff at. I really like that Gege decided to seal him it gave the story more tension and makes the fights that are upcoming scary because we'll see just how much they'll struggle as Gojo was carrying these sorceres and we'll see the consequences of him disappearing

At least he kinda gives them a final “fuck you” by having the Prison Realm be planted in that spot for a while.
