Downcountry is back 😎🥳
My first mountain bike is a trek and I love it
So this is now basically a Gen 5 Fuel EX
The wheel base on the TF size XL is now 1271. The wheel base on my 2022 size XL was 1241. That is perfect for a down country bike. Even the santa cruz tall boy wheelbase is 1250 in a XL which is suppose to be "the downhill" cx bike. So why do you stretch the new TF out this far? The fuel ex is 1280 something, so why put out something so close to it? You now go from the Supercaliber to the TF, quite a gap. Spec. has the epic in between. I don't get it?
$15,499 in Australia for the 9.9 X0 Transmission build, a full $1500 more than the $13,999 RRP on a Santa Cruz Tallboy 5 X0 Transmission with the Reserve carbon wheels, which is currently priced at $11,899. WTF is with Trek and Specialized charging more than boutique brands like Santa Cruz, Pivot, & Yeti?
And SC will maintain value better than Trek.
Hermoso modelo, lo que el ciclista normal necesita para todas las aventuras y como siempre Trek dando clases de diseño y versatilidad
It's great that the logo is small.
I like the small logo and it looks great but how is it lighter if it's heavier in every build but 9.9 , also it's more expensive and you lose the carbon wheel in 9.8 trim
WHAT AN AMAZING BIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, TREK YOU DID IT AMAZING CREATING THE NEW GENERATION OF THE TOP FUEL!!! 😎
Anyone have a weight? I have a Gen 3 that comes in at 30 pounds. Too heavy for the down country class when a Rocky Mountain Element hits the scales at 26.
While I loved mine while i had it, I got rid of it as the rear shock placement just not great for long days when I want to carry 2 bottles. I do love the versatility though.
Check out the Wolf Tooth B-Rad system when tying to fit a second bottle in a full-suspension frame
@@trekbikesthere is no room for that. Only works on gravel bikes and such. Unless you want your knees to drink water too
Take notes specialized! This is how you give people more yes it is a fuel ex with less travel yet lighter.
No bs, lots of adjustments yet simple.
Trek you got something here don’t change it👍🏻
We love the Top Fuel ❤️
You forgot all the proprietary shocks trek made?
Curious about frame weight vs gen 2 Top Fuel (e.g., 2020)??…the gen 3 was well known to be a chonker, so not too surprising this one’s lighter than gen3.
It's 220 grams lighter than the previous pig. So it's still a pig just slightly lighter. 🤣
So glad I got into the Top Fuel with a gen 2 9.8 at just under 26 lbs. That’s where they should have kept it
muito bom..... abraço
I am waiting for a model with Rock Shox Flight Attendant before I purchase.
Shouldn’t remedy change first?
Remedy is donezo... although I don't know why they haven't just given it the mullet treatment to compete in that category
Sorry to break the news to you, but the Remedy is gone
So basically, remedy is gone, fuel ex replaces remedy, top fuel replaces fuel ex, and supercaliber replaces top fuel? Kinda anyway….
Imo gen 3 frame looks better, but 3,5kg for frame in Alu is insane heavy. Got top fuel 8 2022 and it have 15kg, thats making me cry and thinking about selling it bcs that crazy weight.
Why did this bike get a mullet option? Don't get me wrong since it's an option this not really negative but the bike is made for great ascending and decent descending but not for bike park days at least that's how I interprete the information given in the video.
Mullet wasn't designed for only the bike park, but for any rider looking to have a more nimble rear end around the trails - we've seen mullet becoming more popular for many trail bikes!
Please send me one to review
is this same like madone sl,made by china xds~
sorry let you down, not China XDS
$7000 dollar new bike with alloy wheels.
Smh
Why you need carbon wheels on a “downcountry” bike?
If you want to go big
Just get an enduro it’s not like you are an elite rider man, carbon wheels won’t make you good👍🏻
@@user-xr1xf9qn1iyou must be tripping.😅
But for 7K should it include carbon wheels? 😂. I got the 9.8 XT gen 3 for 4999.00 and it came with carbon wheels.
@@gainknowledgeandinsight whomp whomp if you’re poor…you’re poor🤷🏻
@@user-xr1xf9qn1i yeah I know what you mean. I’m not elite - I’m a 57 MTB junkie. I love it! I suck at it, but I love it. And I have an enduro and trail - and both serve a purpose although the Slash 9.8 is hefty. And when you’re a fat arse like me and you’re riding a heavy bike - double trouble - but I love jf
