Seems they used more screws than pins which is a mixed blessing. You can certainly tighten the front of the motorcycle it depends on the way you turn the section. If you turn it one way it loosens the other tightened it. I thought mine broke at first but I tightened mine right up by pressing towards the fuel tank and finding which way tightened the screw. The waist is another, if you engage the ab crunch it loosens the screw when you return to upright stance, it can be tightened but the screw is not the standard one we used for years. I have a huge precision screwdriver set so not sure which it is. You can use the standard screw driver we got with the old Fanstoys figures but risk stripping it.
Great review, looking forward to getting these It seems with each release the quality is getting better. This one looks great also is quite possible the front area is mistransformed maybe? in alt mode as I haven’t seen unfold out like that before. But great video as always 👍🏽
Another great review and a strong contribution to the XTB collection. Yes there are some finicky parts...like any other figure we've seen already. I'd rather have the screws and work those over time than deal with loose pins like we have with our RP cassettes. As for the head, I mean it is a workable solution, I mean would people rather continue dealing with screwing off the head or deal with mushroom pegs? It's different but with the transformation, it's a toss up...but it also comes to the sensibilities, or oversensitive(blinders), views people have.....But ya know..If you like it you win, if you get more fodder to "trash" then I guess you win as well. I for one, wasn't going in on this group and stick with the MMC version, but after finally getting my DX9 Stunticons, I'd like to have a team at the comparable size and MMC isn't it..but they will make fantastic bot mode display options. But I digress> another great review. I apologize that I didn't get him sent up to you over the holidays, but good ole G-Toney is there...so win win again. Your SKILL is as great as your AMBITION to make this a fantastic channel.😉
I love the subtle trolling we do to each other it makes my day. I invite you to a healthy positive debate where we can talk about why you love xtb and why I hate xtb. I am sure we both have great reasons why we feel what we feel

That's XTB for you.. Looks great just don't touch it. Literally reminds of that scene in "I'm gonna get you Sucka", when the working girl is done taking her stuff off, she has no hair. And only one leg. FFS. Nice review Sony.
Do the Protectobot leg bots combine by becoming the entire lower legs of Defensor, or do they merely attach to the front of Hot Spot's legs like the Stunticon leg bots attached to the front of Motormaster's transformed trailer? (The latter may be how MMC gets integrated feet to fold out, from Hot Spot's legs, rather than from the leg bots.) The reason I ask is because toy manufacturers could make Groove transform to a better scale size as a motorcycle and still combine to help form Defensor, if he just stuck to the front of Hot Spot, instead of comprising the whole lower leg.
According to XTB. There will be a repair bay base that forms the torso and it seems the leg bots clip on this. The arm bots have separate beds that form the arm skeleton.
@@TMReviews Cool, thanks. Then there is little reason to make Groove as big as a car or van, anymore, other than forcing the robots modes to scale together. And since XTB couldn't seem to get their joint tolerances right at this scale, then they probably couldn't be trusted to get them right at minicar scale either.
As usual with xtb their ambition is greater than their skill. Great review
That's an interesting way to put it, thanks for that, I'm stealing it

Yup I noticed the same thing with the screws, all my pins are getting loose anyways so I guess if I had to choose loose pin or screw I choose screw

Great review 🌟😎.. XTB with another crazy transformation and QC issues. Looks Really good though..😃
A first-rate review of Groove and his cool accessories!
Thanks

Lol @ the I believe button. I’m definitely gonna use that.
Lol
Great review Sony.
Great review. Regarding the wheel at 21:40, promo shots show it sideways in bot mode, not sure if that would help secure it.

I believe this one will attach to a frame, there is nothing on groove to suggest it has attachment points for the foot and hardware for a knee bend

Makes sense
Hasn't anyone watched Inuyasha? The little green imp's name was Jocund!
Great review as always. I just see a lot flimsy parts on it. XTB kinda makes me nervous, so I stay away. Just my personal preference.
Interesting view on the longevity of the bot, especially as it is a combiner.
I wonder how the MMC one will stack up build wise?
At first glance I thought this was a buzz lightyear crossover.

Wow I didn't notice that number lol

Kiki's Delivery Service!
Yep..mmay be needed for this...definitely needed for the fans flop cassettes
I just applied Kiki to my FansToys firrib, thanks to Mike!
And with that review my mind is made up and I will give my money to MMC for their Defensor offering.
Glad I could help
I'm so glad I didn't go in for these protectobots, just not impressed so far
They are good looking but the quality isn't quite there yet
@@TMReviews for me they don't quite hit the mark like the Stunticons did
I don’t care for these particular XTB figures at all. I want to barely any reviews on them. Mmc all the way this time.
I'm waiting for MMC personally
You got the debil's # of followers 😱
Lol I saw that
