Picked up the Howard Stern Private Parts soundtrack just for this song. Learned later it was an Antichrist B-side. Still one of my favorite Manson go-tos.
After 20 years, this song randomly came into my head. Such a good song. Motivated me to pull out my old CDs. I had forgotten about all of the random Manson singles and interview recordings. Total nostalgia that has aged like fine damn wine. ❤ Now I need to find a VCR to watch Dead to the World and God is in the TV!!!
I love this song so foocking much! The space between Antichrist and Animals was so unique with this track, Apple of Sodom, Long Hard Road Out of Hell. I was not expecting the huge shift Mechanical Animals brought 😂
The chorus sounds like the bridge to Reflecting God, and a part sounds like Dried Up.... Although everything about this is so unique, just as Wormboy was unique on ACSS. This is very industrial. Great B side.
@@dontpissoffraccoons It's ok, mate. Apparently Anthony Hernandez deleted his comment, but I'm pretty sure we were "talking" about how we both preferred Daisy as a guitarist and in MM, and not that he played on this song. But it's all good Btw, after 3 years, I stand by my words.
This song is incredible. So raw. So powerful. So hateful. So Antichrist. It totally belonged on the album. Wonder why it wasnt? It would fit right in. I absolutely love it. The slidey guitar is great. Manson's singing here is so angry and violent. Amazing track.
That wasn't associated with Antichrist Superstar. That song was featured on the Private Parts soundtrack. It's one of my favorite MM songs, along with Apple of Sodom. I remember reading about the making of S.F.Y.S. apparently it came about in a hotel room, on a fourt track. With a drum machine etc. Such an exceptional band and time for music. They made it all worth while!!!
@@azja6666 yup! This was the first song Zim Zum co-wrote with the band, before eventually writing on more than half the songs on Mechanical Animals. Zim's time in the band was brief, but holy shit, did he contribute some classic material 👌
@@kid.hudson_ Zim Zum isn't dead! Wtf?! I think you guys are confusing him for Daisy Berkowitz, Manson's original guitarist (the guy Zim Zum replaced in 1996), who sadly passed away in 2017. Or even Brad Stewart (Gidget Gein), who passed in 2008. But Zim is alive and well.

Buffy Summers i think TPE and even Heaven Upside Down are pretty static and empty (not minimal/simple) except for some songs like Odds Of Even, Third Day, Jesus Crisis. Twiggy work on HEOL was just incredible, trully Manson-ish in a pop rock way.
Dan Schwab I think this was just a demo or a first draft of it. There also exists an early version of Kinderfeld called 'Tell me'. Its fairly crap but nevertheless an interesting listen
I've heard the 'Kinderfeld' demo but I could have sworn it was called 'Smells Like Children.' I don't think this is a demo for any song other than itself, lyrics and tune strike me as far too different. I think it was a song for Antichrist Superstar that was scrapped in the final product. Both are great tunes regardless.
Dan Schwab you might well be right. I only heard it on a bootleg and it was called 'tell me'. Nevertheless I really miss this period of Manson. They really were on fire back in the day
This certainly was old but gold. As soon as he hit Eat Me, Drink Me the albums were sub-par. They grow on you, but they're nothing in comparison. I do enjoy The Pale Emperor though, I do think that has a bit of redemption to it. I know it isn't as heavy as the oldest stuff but with I'd imagine he's strained his voice a bit by the tenth album and over twenty years of this. If you're ever interested for more demos like this look up Lunchboxes and Choklit Cows vol. 1 and 2, they're all the songs he lost in the lawsuit to one of the band members. Some of them you can easily find on UA-cam, some you have to do some digging through the internet. It's like discovering two entire new albums from the old days.
8612Reality The people his new music seems to attract are far from the fans of 1996 and before.. His music now has no meaning and after two band members leaving for Rob zombie, Brian breaking up with his Wife and Trent R calling him a dopey clown he has lost himself and everything he at least ONCE stood for.....
Zim Zum really rocked. This is still one of my favourite Manson songs. I wish I could hear all the Antichrist Super outtakes.
Didn't expect to see you here lol
I just recently heard an early ACS demo that was pretty thorough. It was essentially antichrist superstar without trent.
The demo starts with a song called "d is for dirty" if that helps
@@dallasboringnews8193 i heard it recently and uff. Songs like Suicide Snowman or Piss in the wound will stay in my state of mind
