Käse (cheese) usually doesn’t have a plural when referring to cheese as a general food item, similar to English. However, when referring to different types or varieties of cheese, you can use the plural form, Käsesorten (types of cheese) or sometimes just Käse in plural contexts. For example, you might say, “In diesem Laden gibt es viele verschiedene Käse” (This store has many different cheeses). So, while it's rarely plural, German allows it to distinguish between varieties ;)

The letter combination "ch" has different sounds depending on where it comes in a word as explained below. But most of the words in the German language which are taken from English are spoken as it is like in the case of "Sandwich".
1. In "Ich" the sound if we compare it with an english word would be the "h" sound in the word "huge".
2. If "ch" comes after the vowels [a, o, u] as in "Buch" then you can compare it's sound to that of "k" in the word "book" or "ch" in the word "loch".
3. If it's at the beginning of the word like in "Charakter" or "Chor" then the sound will be that of "k" in the word "skull".
