HIT THE BELL & TELL A FRIEND ABOUT ME
Joe Walsh had his own band then joined the Eagles. He is one of the two battling guitarists on Hotel California
Actually a couple before the eagles,. Remember the James gang and solo later
Fav Joe Walsh quote - (something like): "people used to say I was an alcoholic cause I drank all the time, but I actually just drank once for 20 years". Lol
My favorite Joe Walsh quote is from when he was going out on tour after a long break and he was asked if he practices the songs before the tour begins and his reply was "yes, just because you wrote a song that doesn't mean you can play it."
Back when he was a member of The Eagles, a band mate was asked to describe Joe and his response was something like . . . . . he's a crazy bunch of guys!
Hahahahaha
It was Glenn Fry.
@@jennhurl . . . Thanks, Jenny ! !
He is still in the Eagles... saw them on their last tour. Before pandemic.
Joe Walsh is a member of the band "The Eagles"! A very underrated guitarist! He's 🔥 on the strings!🤟👏👍
Not bad when you can do a guitar solo, duel, with Don "Fingers" Felder on Hotel California
I think Joe Walsh guaranteed HOF for the Eagles, without Joe, I'm not sure ..
@@shawnk7832 Yes, Joe kicked them up a notch but even before Joe came in, Don Felder was the one who gave them the kick that they needed to rock
Jor Walsh. Underrated? When?
I always rated that fool very highly. Havin fun being the fool is like being a king
"I can't complain but some times I still do"
"They say I'm lazy, but it takes all my time"
xD
Could be my favorite line in a song. And " i'm just lookin' for clues at the seen of the crime" that he probably committed🤣
The "I can't complain" comment I use All.The.Time. especially whenever someone asks the generic, "how u doin?"
He's got studio/guest musicians for this. He definitely plays the guitars, sings, and writes it.
Gary of Gary and the Grinders, from Ft Smith, AR. is the guy playing here. He was his ghost player. He had a huge bar in FSA. He used to play where I bartended and OMG could that cat play! He would play like Jimmy Hendrix, if you shut your eyes you would swear it was Jimmy! Behind his back, written a Black and Decker drill..... you name it!!! Everything that band did was just like whoever they played. I loved them!
Joe Walsh was a member of the Eagles, he's also the brother in law to Ringo Starr of the Beatles.
There’s a live cut of this sone where he says “people write me letters; tell me Don’s great” referencing Don Henley - band mate in The Eagles
Joe Walsh, Rocky Mountain Way. A 70's rock anthem !
Joe tells a story of his time in the band, The James Gang. They left Cleveland in a passenger van with five members headed to open a show in Detroit. When they made it to Detroit about four hours later, the band had 3 members.
Watch any interview with him you can. This song is all a true story of his life.
Joe Walsh, incredible guitarist, one of the best ever, and he is still rocking. James Gang, The Eagles. Listen to him play on Hotel California and many many others. You can pick out his sound anywhere. He has been sober for many years now...great great guy!!
Seen this man 5 times in concert the most of any musician that I know. Would luv to c him again.
I saw in concert in OKC in the early 90s. On the song Rocky Mountain Way he started singing late. The next day in the newspaper they said how cool it was that he let the fans start the song. I think he was just so stoned he missed his pick up. One of th best concerts I ever went to.
This song is about how Joe, never took himself too seriously in the whirlwind of fame. The whole peice is like a drunken jam session showcasing Joe's sick guitar skills, the keyboardist playing with early Moog synthesizers and fooling around!
Joe Walsh is National freaking Treasure & we need to protect him like Betty White. I'm a HUGE Walsh fan! Trust me - The Eagles benefitted from having Joe - not the other way around. He a master ghitartist. You know the opening riff from "Life In The Fast Lane"? That riff was his warm up. Movement between his left to right hand & Glenn Fry was like damn that's a song! 🤣
The Eagles have just a sh*t ton of good music, but "Life in the Fast Lane" is really my favorite. I'm not sure any other main-stream tune describes the mid to late 70's cocaine craze and its affect on people in quite such an upbeat way. I love that song, both musically and lyrically.
as a guitar player and a Joe Walsh fan I agree that he's deserve the moniker Master Guitarist, especially when I saw video on YT explaining how to set up guitar and intonation. Dude doesn't just know how to play it.
He was on Daryl's house. You should check that out too.
Joe Walsh is literally rock and royalty. He was a member of the Eagles. And also the James Gang. Had a very nice solo career as well. You should listen to Rocky Mountain Way.
You missed the best line after the mazarati. "My mazarati does 185. I lost my license, now I don't drive." 😆
That line really does set up the humor of the song
yeah, hurt that he missed that. It's the point, lol
Masserati
@@sergiomattos109 ahh si. Mi dispiace y grazie.

Love Joe Walsh!! His humor comes through.
Joe Walsh - Living legend ♥️
I am a new subscriber. I got to see Joe Walsh's drummer Joe Vitale with Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Notre Dame ACC in 1977. Great show. Rock on!!!
Joe Walsh's first band was The James Gang. Loved them.. Joe is a funny guy.
Went through a lot but what a good human came out the other end. Love Joe.
One of my favorite Walsh hits!
The reason he was doing so good is because of 1) the James Gang and 2) The Eagles. Plus his solo career.
Van,Joe Walsh is regarded as one of the greatest guitarist still going with the Eagles for over 25 years. With his early band The James Gang they where very funky rock had a few hits. The story goes that Joe Walsh alone with his playing and singing brought the Eagles out of the country-pop and into Rock n Roll with the big boys.ps he's Ringo's bro-in law.
I got to see him perform this live in the mid 80's. Awesome experience. Good that you found the full album version and not one of the two cut short ones radio stations like.
Thank you for sharing this awesome song.
😆 Van, cannot believe you have not heard Joe Walsh, he is a Legend 🤘
One of the top tracks for flying the boat across the lake🤠
Beautiful song!!! Epica!!!!
This is that Rocker you mentioned when you reacted to Hotel California song by the Eagles.. the guy that was dueling with the double guitar player.. Joe Walsh is a Rocker in the truest sense.. lol
Anyone else remember the original line was- "I have a limo right in the trunk, I lock doors in case I get drunk" & "Everybody's so different, we're all insane" ?
I saw the Eagles 3 times. All with Joe Walsh. He stole the show every time.
Okay!! I found your music reaction archive This song here,is SO good.thanks there bro for the awesome reactions keeping me company with some kick back rocknroll, ✌️
Joe Walsh is one of the most awesome musicians, and personalities in music history. You gotta check out "Rocky Mountain Way". He's great with the Eagles as well. "In the City" is a good song of his with them.
Joe had his own band, James Gang and was Guitarist for the Eagles. Highly Suggest:
49 Funk (James Gang)
Rocky Mountain Way (from Daryl Hall’s House)
Hotel California (Eagles -live)
The Confessor by Joe Walsh is FIRE
You've seen Joe Walsh before man. When you reacted to Hotel California by The Eagles & you saw the guitar solo & you were talking about one of the guitar players saying this ones the rock star, that was Joe Walsh
''It's hard to leave when you can't find the door!'' Oh lawdy!
Great reaction is always I appreciate your time stay blessed
Joe is from NE Ohio. Rocky Mountain way rocks. Is one of the few I wish my girl could meet cuz she hella guitarist. She was raised about 10 miles from his home town and his teenage buddy stopped her in her tracks after a set. He played with Joe. Check his name Woody James. Measles was the first high school band.
Oooooo, We gettin da chillaxed bathrobe reaction. Much Love!!! #HOG
You crack me up you’re a hippie from the 60s 70s , you know the good stuff
Rocky Mountain Way!
That's SUNDAY music right there 🖐😊
Amen dude!
Joe Walsh's band was the James Gang, but he was also part of the Eagles
Your reaction to a classic made my day brother, God bless haha
Joe is married to Ringo Starr's (Beatles) sister and is part of Ringo's All Starr Band.
Man i love this song, i used to know how to play the opening riff when i was younger.
This is one of my all time favourite songs. Love it.
He probably made his first million with the James Gang. After the Eagles he probably stopped counting. Definitely one of the most spontaneous guitarists you’ll find.
Awesome.
I've got 2 Joel Walsh stories, I'll only share the one for now.
Ok so in our household growing up we had the double lp live, and rocked out to it for years . . .
Then one day something happened that made me look stupid.
While out with friends somebody plays the studio version, I'm just a singing along and then out of the blue someone changed the lyrics.
After a good long laugh, I ended up having to explain how it was I was more familiar with the live recording.
I was a teenager at that time and now as an adult . . .
The same thing happens.
Ah I remember a young Australian kid back in the day listening to this thanks mate 👍
Did you see The Eagles when they came to Sydney in 2010? Joe does this song and Rocky Mountain Way. The highlight of that concert!
I dig the added saws, its like a remix :)
That funky sound is him playing that hose type instrument by mouth
Great reaction, Funk #49 and Rocky Mountain Way are great ones as well.
That's my all-time favorite album. Lots of awesome memories in those tunes.
You’re so fun to watch!!
Great job. And thanks for playing with the equipment and figuring stuff out; it makes for a better experience for everyone.
I like that sound too. They person playing keys is tracking the resonance of the analog filter using the keyboard. It's not a common sound used in rock music.
He is also one of the lead guitar players in The Eagles🙂
The buzz saw was killing me 😆. Made me think of SNL Cowbell. Listening to this I'm like, "The buzz saw is more prominent than I remember. "
Love you right back! Peace everyone!
Joe Walsh was with the Eagles. He’s phenomenal.
He missed the very end "... uh-oh... Here comes a flock of Waaah Waaahs!!!..." 😆
Joe Walsh is a member of the band "The Eagles"! A very underrated guitarist but he's 🔥👍🤟👏
Great song, check him out doing this with Daryl Hall, live from daryls house.
Good vibes...
Check out this song live from Darryls House. Hes STILL ROCKIN DUDE!!!!
May have been said already, but you picked him out as the "rock and roll guy" on your reaction to "Hotel California ". The reaction was 6 months ago, but just watched it last night. Btw, I was amazed at all you picked up on in that video. Really great job. Fun to watch
Need to listen to Funk #49. And his riff at the end of Hotel California with the Eagles..... one of the best 👍
Rarely do I comment on anything, but I love you bro. Your reactions make me happy. Keep doin what you do.
Try "Funk #49" by him when he was with the James Gang
I was a teenager in 78, we were all grooving and getting high with this song blasting,... THANKS for the memories 🥰
The Eagles told him to get off the alcohol and drugs or he would get the boot. He has been sober ever since ❤. This was one of the first albums I bought. Think it was the 3rd. It was called "The Smoker you Drink, the Player you get". Great album. Great reaction@😂
Love Joe. He's a great guitarist. Check out; Joe Walsh JBLM (live 11/7) He works with veterans and he is telling them in the video how he came up with this song. Funny and informative.
I love the mouth organ!
Omg you have to get on an Eagles list Joe Walsh was guitar for the Song Hotel California he came up with rif but the Eagles for 10 years and every album had at least 4 or 5 go to number one and the song writers in the Eagles were Glen Frye and old golden throat himself Don Henley even when The Eagles broke up they all had success outside of the band the reason they called Don golden throat cause they say if he sang it money was coming but seriously Joe was awesome guitarist for the Eagles so you should do an Eagles journey and as usual you u rock and I was a teen when this song came out so I have some really fun and great and naughty memories but totally worth it🤘❣️
This is basically his musical biography.
The way I always looked at Joe Walsh...he was the equivalent to Neil Young but with a little more attitude. Both musicians were a bit folky (Young more than Walsh) but still carried a message. They were both also members of esteemed rock legends (Walsh with the James Gang and the Eagles...Young with Crazy Horse and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young).
Don Henley:
Joe’s a very interesting bunch of guys.
Oh...I have another one...you tube...Weather report group: Weather Report album: Heavy Weather song: Teen Town...this one is aother real show case for bassist Jaco Pastorious
Joe was the lead guitar player for the Eagles.
Joe Walsh and Joe Biden both have the same birthday November 20
Rocky Mountain Way, In the City (from the movie The Warriors) and All Night Long (from Urban Cowboy), are all worth listening to. Plus his James Gang songs....actually most of his solo stuff is worth listening to.
The life of a rock star
Great pick!
And you obviously have to do rockey mountain way now
Rocky Mountain Way has the same guitar funk. You'll love it!!!
'The Confessor' - Joe Walsh
If you liked this, check out "Rocky Mountain Way" and "Funk #49." The latter is a song he did with The James Gang.
Joe is a kewl Kat
Try "The Bomber" by The James Gang for a showcase of Joe's writing skill and guitar prowess. 22-23yo. (his read on Bolero is great)
That's Joe.
Please try Joe Walsh's Turn to Stone (for the guitar) and The Confessor (for the creativity).
Drums have such a nice sound in this song little bit like John Bonham sound.
Rocky mountain way.
