@@DartsReviewChannel I 100% prefer your style that is straight to the facts and isn’t bloated with 5 minute intros or irrelevant information. As a newcomer to darts this channel has been so fantastic!
I just found your channel and have been binge watching your reviews. I think you threw these darts better than anything I've watched yet.... Maybe worth some more time.
Thanks for watching 👍 most of my videos with me throwing are often the only throwing I do on that day, depends how much my joints are aching, so sometimes I have a good day where it works lol😊
Great to see this review. I’ve been waiting for it. Now after having watched, I’m even more curious to get me some Rydz darts and give them a throw. I’m really intrigued by that grip. Keep up the awesome work, Darren. 👍🎯
The grip reminds me of the Loxley Rock Eagle. Not that they’re the same but wide sloping grooves give the impression of grip but are not really grippy. If that makes sense.
@@karlburton9705 : I’m a front gripper mate but I use Peter wright pl15 and his tapered world championship darts but I collect PDC players darts and got rydz darts months ago …. They are lovely darts like mate
Nice review, as usual. I love ring grip darts, this one looks like an interesting variation worth trying out. A touch more grip, yet still a pretty non aggressive, traditional barrel shape. I’m a rear gripper as well, it’s odd Rydz’s dart isn’t more suited to that style, considering by the looks of it he’s pretty well a rear gripper.
Watching Callan play he seems to grip the whole dart right from the rear where the smooth section is, always seemed strange to me but obviously works well for him
yeah I think he is a player that has it on all his fingers as can be seen in the close up of his grip early in the video, his thumb looks like it is around the end of the ring grip and on the smooth part, a common style of grip for longish straight barrel darts really :)
I am a Rear gripper and i love Darts with a soft end. Its lots better than put index finger on stamp for me. My dart (Dpuls X-Cita 22,7 g) is very similar to this one.
Hi, was wondering if you could help me at all. I've bought quite a few sets of darts over the last year or so but haven't found one I feel properly comfortable with. I'm a front gripper like you and I have a very similar grip and throwing style to you so I was wondering if you could give me some recommendations of darts that you have liked and hopefully I will to. I'd really appreciate it, thanks!
I mostly use the Harrows Predator but have also like darts like the Unicorn RVB Phase 5, Winmau Aspria, Shout Jutsu, Unicorn John Lowe to name a few :)
where is your favorite green? nice review anyway. regarding your complain for T1 during slo-mo it's visible why you throw T1 so often - your hand from known reasons is not relaxed as should be so if your timing is not perfect everything goes to T1 or 1. Don't worry I have the same problem :)
lol I think its more problems than just my hand, I have too much aching at present, hand, fingers, wrist, shoulder. Sometimes I feel like there is no power so I try throw harder but cant control it so I just give up lol Was throwing a very relaxed way the other day and just letting the arm do the work but next day my shoulder was hurting like crazy so I cant win :)
@@DartsReviewChannel Like I said before I have similar difficulties with my wrist but it becomes more and more stronger so I can be more relaxed during the throw. But sometimes I have difficulties properly warm up my hand. Usually it take few minutes the hand is properly warmed and pumped with blood but sometime it take hour and more when I can start practicing itself....
I can't play long enough to get properly warmed up but I was just having a throw a few minutes ago while watching the seniors and hit a 180 with my trusty old Predators 😊 had two back to back 140s a few throws later. Was throwing as relaxed as I could and I think because the darts was on my mind was not thinking too much about my throw which helped too. Only played around 10 minutes then had to stop, wrist feels inflamed now which is so annoying!
No problem. I quite like the Ultra, its got a lot of stick but think most are just judging from what they see on TV which are not the same conditions for most at home. Its not the best healing board but its certainly not bad at all and for me I think it has just the right amount of firmness.
@@darrenthompson9235 yes they do and also if the board has been in a cold storage then put in front of the hot stage lights is not good either. Will see how the Blade 6 fares when its been used a bit longer and with players using crazy points. Looks a nice dart, I am surprised we don't see more rounded grips as they offer a different grip feel which may suit some.
yeah its a grip thats been around before but its not in many darts surprisingly :)
Nice looking dart and would like to try a set similar. O'Shea and Dobey Gen 1's have a rounded ring style grip also....
Yeah the Dobeys is one I was trying to think of :)
4:50 how clean is that rounded grip, wonder how they make it so nicely.

Nicely reviewed Darren definitely an unusual grip on reasonably priced darts. What have you stood in? All those treble 20's lol 😆 🎯 happy darting 🎯

What do you think by comparing the grip with Rob Cross G1? Is this grip more aggressive than the Target one and which one would you buy?
I think the Rob Cross were slightly more grippy, the Rydz are kind of smooth feeling
Remind me of the tony o shea gen 2 by target. A favourite of mine long ago
