I just turned a 8.6m Investment into 185m easy as can be. Just find items that have a very very high sell to buy ratio. For example I bought 65,000 items at a 238 coin rate but they were selling for 2,830 coins per. So I put in a order worth 8.6m which turned out to be 65000 of them which in turn sold for a whopping 185m. Also an important thing to factor in is if the item is used for a good craft

Currently making around 1mil every 10 mins flipping mycelium
6 mil per hour is bad
converting normal buy order carrots to enchanted carrots and selling them makes 30m+/h
