This was all great advice. Here's a tip:wear a Scottevest or something similar. It has lots of pockets and is a saver when your carryon bag is overweight. I travel with photography equipment and have had to put camera bodies, drives, lenses in my vest because of foreign weight restrictions. Remember they don't weigh you and what you are wearing. The funny thing is that after your carryon bags are weighed and you are on your way to the gate you can put the stuff in the vest in the carryon luggage.
You know, I am not a beauty person and never look at beauty videos. I watched because I am leaving for Ghana soon and struggling with what to pack. Thank you for not being dingy, superficial, and shallow. I loved this video, I even subscribed. I can listen to you, you are so relatable. I will definitely re-watch this one to make sure I get it right. You are fantastic. I appreciate your perspective.
I followed you on your trip to Ghana - watching the vlogs. Made me want to get on a plane and join you all each time I watched. This video is really informative and can help anyone to make a trip less stressful!! I enjoyed watching -- where will you be traveling to next?
Good Morning Danielle. This video was very detailed and informative. I absolutely loved the Vlogs from your trip it was Amazing and I appreciate you sharing.
Hello, I am going to ghana in May. This will be my first time on airplanes and my first time out of the country. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. But, I have been told not to live in fear. Praying for good and safe trips. #Catchflightsall2k22
I loved this video! Sent it to my kids because we are going to Ghana this April. I love your personality. Thank you for this info. Hope you are doing well.
Great video! I’ve never been to Ghana but I really want to one day, it’s on my list of places to visit. This video was super helpful! I will be using it when I go to Hawaii for the first time in March, I can’t wait! Thanks girly! 😘
Ta'Miya Crockett thanks for watching!! Ohhh Hawaii!!! That sounds so fun! I’m excited for you! I’ve never been-are you gonna do a lot of touristy stuff or just chill?
The Style and Beauty Doctor I wanna do touristy stuff! It’s for my mom’s 60th birthday and it’s a girl’s trip (about 7 of us going). So I’m looking for lots of stuff to do but also keep a few days chill and low key so I don’t overload her and her friends! Lol! We are staying at a house on the water, so we ate super excited about that! I can’t wait!
Great video, thanks for the recommendations! I go to Ghana to visit family every few years but I like to hear what other people bring that I may not think of. I'm with you on the hair, I aint messing with it on vacation 🤣 I met a girl who blow dries it at home before traveling and then gets it braided there the next day since it's so cheap.
@@lindadavis3844 Around that time, regular waist length box braids were like $15-20 at a shop. Small, long knotless braids were around $50-$80 depending on who you are and where you go 😅 Now with inflation, I'm sure it's on the higher end of that range unless you really bargain
I flew from DC to JFK and JFK to ACC (Ghana). I try to do straight flights as often as possible. Get a small portable fan, a towel (for your face), and Cottonelle wipes (for bathroom trips). The top 3 things I brought. And definitely pack all medicine you may think you’ll need! I also brought an eye mask and face mask for the plane. I was ready! I also had my High Spirit backpack that is anti-theft (the zipper is on your back and it was gorgeous)! Danielle, I lost 15lbs from sweating!

Isn’t face mask for the plane drying ? The plane is a dry place and you put liquid on your face will that not dry your skin more ? I read it somewhere that it isn’t adviced to use them in plane.and where is your video? Looking forward to that.
Princess Oniká I was talking about the cotton/silk mask to block light for sleeping HOWEVER I actually did use an actual beauty face mask on my flight to Dubai previously. I let it sit for about 30min until it dried about 3hrs before landing & my skin looked great!
My ex husband booked me a flight with 8 hour layover. I literally boo hoo cried and cursed him out for two days 😂. I was so upset. When I tell you never again I meant it. Great traveling tips. I’ll definitely use the heating pad advice for my knees. Knees was on fire! 😂 Ghana was so much fun!!
S P GURL. THIS! I don’t know if you saw my very first Ghana vlog where I was talking about my anxiety traveling there despite having been on planes dozens of times, it was because of mess like this 😭😭😭😭 I cried, too. NEVER AGAIN 😭😭😭😭 But yessss, definitely a lot of fun in Ghana 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
The Style and Beauty Doctor Yes I seen the video I teared up because I felt your pain. Traveling is so rewarding but the anxiety of getting to your destination is next level.
The Style and Beauty Doctor it’s okay, we will always wait for great content! I’m good, chilling tonight and fighting off a head cold but still absolutely enjoying this video!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The Style and Beauty Doctor I love that you covered meds/dental...so helpful. It’s the little stuff we can forget that can be a make or break on a trip. Good looking out. 👍🏽
Love you girl.. but the way my attention span is set up..... Squirrel!! Lollll Woot woot! I stuck through! And I really don't get to travel anywhere but there were some really helpful tips if I ever do get a chance to run..I mean ...get away. 🙂
Another UA-camr As told by Louise got malaria and said the hospital was efficient and inexpensive. You were prepared for whatever. Lol. Which is good. I enjoyed everyone's Return vlogs, especially Flo Chiynere because she is from Nigeria and was in her village. Now I have seen people wait to get to Africa to get their braids because of the price. I probably would if it was something cornrows related.
So glad I came across your video while preparing for my Ghana trip 2023. First time 😍 Thanks

Headed to Senegal August 2021. Thanks, especially about the powerbank.
Tip: when traveling abroad (especially in a cold climate or one where a scarf is needed), invest in hidden pocket scarves to hide valuables needed
