You had to do it didn’t you?Couldn’t just allow the pun to sit like an irritating child (mocking everyone with a nut allergy) in the deep dark recesses of our TV advert addled minds, threatening to blunt out the quiet parts - as if paying homage to an addled autocue operated POTUS! 👀🧐😎😜 Peace
I own one. When you see one in-person, you're going to encounter A LOT of alignment issues with the applied indices, the logo, and the minute markers. And no returns once the watch is worn. Sorry!
Farer is the brand that got me into Watches. I have 3, and I will probably add more. They are so unique in what they offer. They have a mini-cult following already, and it’s growing.
And... you've done it again: Provided your viewers yet another great introduction to a great watch from a little-known watch brand (Swiss Made, as well) offering great bang for the buck. Your channel never fails to impress and inform. For awhile now, I have been in the market for a world timer. Thus making this video such a timely (pun?) offering, at least in my case. Thanks so much!
So happy to finally see this brand featured in your channel, my Farer Stark II is still my favorite piece, it being an older design comes with a full bronze crown; I will be buying more from them one day. Really glad to see that you enjoyed this watch so much.
Farer is an amazing company putting out designs that no one has ever seen before. While I cannot see myself wearing some of their designs, I certainly have to respect their independent and creative thought process. This watch is yet another example of Farer's ingenuity and creativity and this one I can certainly see myself wearing. It's a beauty and a functional tool.
Amazing reviews as always. Thank you for doing such a fantastic job . I love your interest in going into the history of the watch. Always adds so much character.
I really like what Farer is doing in their designs. They've mastered the delicate balance of unique, yet elegant. They aren't afraid to thrown in some daring colors and design elements, yet somehow keep their watches from becoming garish or tacky. That's a difficult balance to achieve. Well done, Farer. Well done!
With this video of the Farer Roché, you have definitely scratched my world timer itch. This watch would be the one to purchase to help keep track of what time it is in any part of the world.
I have never bought a watch for more than 500 dollars, but the Farer Lander 4 captivated me at first sight. The combination of colors seemed incredible to me. I had my doubts about buying it since it's a relatively high price for a not very well-known brand, but I started to investigate and the reviews about this brand were very good. After following the watch, I noticed that there were only two left (as you can select the serial number) and the next day there was only one left, so I didn't want to wait for the watch to be restocked and I bought it right away with its Marine Street Venere strap and the classic steel bracelet. I'm excited for it to arrive 😁
Very informative presentation. As a 5231J world time owner - I appreciate each and every world time creation watch manufacturers produce. Patek is King 👑 The world time function captured my imagination and of all Watch functions - it is the one that most inspires me.
Great review TGV -- love the way you illustrate your points with imaginative videography. Had my eye on a Farer for a while. Their latest model sold out in a flash but good to see a brand from Blighty doing so well.
Thanks for that. I have the sea green Farer Lander IV, a GMT, but now you've convinced me I really need this one. Really. Thanks ever so much. Your reviews have been costing me money since 2015. 😂😂
The other affordable world timer is the Christopher Ward C1 Worldglow. This also features a lot of lume and a north pole facing globe. I like the CW because of its unique radar style GMT complication but it is a bit too large at nearly 44mm.
Love your videos from the intro’s to the actual content quality stuff I learn a lot . I hope to get a mechanical watch sometime. I have been wearing a citizen pro diver for years now. MS sort of stopped my watch collecting right when it happened. If I ever get the chance to pick something up one day I’ll be plenty prepared to make a good choice . That fortis you wear and the your squale are my favorites besides the gmt and speedmaster . Thanks for the videos
Bah, I never got the notification for this video! I really like what Farer have been doing these last couple of years. This world timer is so compelling and they make some very nice looking GMT watches as well. I loved your comment about the Patek World Timer, though. Obscenely vulgar indeed. Let's just say I'm so glad you're an independent channel, TGV!
Really interesting watch. Thanks for spotlighting a lesser known brand. It does sound like Ferrero rocher though....with these watch reviews you are spoiling us!
TGV, I bought this model earlier this year and it is now one of the most favored pieces in my collection with killer lume and looks and something that spends a great deal of time on my wrist! By the way, you're now responsible for 3 watches in my collection......
Hi Tristano, thanks for the cool review of the Farer Roche watch. I've recently purchased the Farer Ainsdale Chronograph watch. I love the design elements and gorgeous use of color. I have an Omega and a Grand Seiko that I wear frequently and love. However, this extraordinary micro brand has captured my heart.

Thank you TGV for such an interesting video with a brand I never heard off!! I’m falling in love with this brand after I watched your review!! Thank you so much again for such interesting filmed, edited, and deeply researched videos!! Stay healthy and well as always!! (Nicholas)
TGV - Wonderful review as always! The one time piece you did not mention was the Batavi Geograaf World Timer that was recently fully funded on kickstarter. You reviewed it with Mark and I was sold (literally). This is a beautiful piece as well and might be looking at purchasing this one also. Thanks my friend!
Thanks TGV for the review. I’ve been interested in Farer for some time. They make many interesting pieces at an excellent price point. I’ve yet to find one that has caused me to pull the trigger however, but I still keep my eye on them. 😎
Another fantastic review TGV, more a mini documentary than a watch review. Also have to say thanks for the likes and comments on my Delvina Geneve supercompressor post. I said it there and I’ll say it again you are a man of infinitely good taste. From one enthusiast to the OG of watch reviewers….have a splendid day. Keep up the good work.

After seeing that video it took me over the top and I had to hunt down an ETA version, I luckily found an AD with one. It’s great to see that English brands/watch makers are making a comeback. I think it’s great different countries are getting back into their watch making history.
Love that you reviewed this, as well as ever of course. I, though, gave up on it because of the world disk. It doesn't match up with the cities (common in world timers) and that really bugs me! Would make a great buy for sure though
Really interesting vid TGV, thanks. Nearly spat my coffee at the duck tails clip. Any chance you could talk Farer into loaning you some more watches to look at?

What a stunning watch! I wanted to purchase another Farer model this summer, but alas its not available for the time being. I dont mind the limited story behind the brand; now we all have a chance to become part of what will become their heritage. Micro brand... what is that really? Excellent video, TGV! I waited a couple days to watch it so that I could enjoy it with my son. It was as good as was expected. Always the highest of quality production from Tristano! Really brought the spotlight to this brand and this piece. Was aware of them but never looked in to them much. The piece seems to be very well sorted and a great deal of thought went into it. The logo looks a bit Star Trek (not necessarily a bad thing) and as you started that version is a bit harder to read. In its price category it may very be the best available, but I think that if I was in the market for a world timer, I would most likely go for a Christopher Ward WorldGlow because it is incredibly interesting and operates very uniquely. If not that, then probably a Frédérique Constant. Regardless, your work was superb, as always. Thank you my friend. Keep it up. Onward and upward! Be well, my friend.
I had a feeling this brand would become a problem for my wallet when they were mentioned in a recent Watch Talk with Marc episode. Well researched as always!
Beautiful watch very impressed with the finishing quality. I just got the version two of the Roche. My only gripe is not their fault since my eyesight is not good enough to see the countries without reading glasses😂. For the next version I would get rid of the second crown, make the countries bezel not rotatable and put them all right side up. Another suggestion for Farer is to somehow mark the countries that participate in daylight savings in a discrete way so we can make the calculations in our head for those times of the year.

Hey there great review follow your channel which I find very informative. I would like to find out more, about influential characters throughout history that you admire to understand & appreciate the fundamentals of time, watches clocks etc. I am a big fan of John Harrison especially his story connected to solving the longitude problem. If you have any videos that talk about this subject in more depth, I would be truly appreciate to find out any forms of reference to gain more knowledge is this quite interesting subject. Looking forward to your reply.
Beautiful watch. The Montblanc Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum has been my favorite world timer as far as design goes-it’s way too big for me though-but this Farer might be my new favorite.
Farer pop up a lot on Instagram. Love the designs and the British link. I see I was beaten to the ferrero Rocher pun, so I’ll give a Roche fact. The pharma company Roche developed the twisted nematic LCD display so are key contributors to the digital watch :)
Seems like the gap between the city time zones ring and the 24 hour ring is a stretch. They could remedy this by placing markers just outside the 24 hour ring that align with the time zones.
Good question. Personally I would not. That is a luxury watch and thus a separate tier or level in price, quality, heritage, mechanically, and prestige. Thank you, Best regards, TGV
Just a quick question ...I've actually just purchased a tag heuer formula 1 chronograph blue quartz watch can I just ask for your opinion on this brit to brit
Good point. To be fair, macro shots are VERY unforgiving. To the naked eye it looks amazing. Even luxury watches suffer at this level, then again, in real life none of us have macro lenses attached to our eyes. Thank you, Bes tregards, TGV
I like the styling, but would gravitate towards the version with the white main dial and blue outer dial section. Another worldtimer that I found interesting at least from pictures is the one by Frederique Constant, but that one stretches into the 4k price range.
Excellent point my friend. In fact, I went on a bit of a tangent about the FC, Montblanc and several other offerings at the price range you speak of, but cut it out to make the video shorter. So glad you mentioned this. Thank you Klaus, Best regards TGV
Hello-I inherited a beautiful old Girard Perregauz but I can't find out much about it. It's 14c gold and is tiny, possibly 1950's. Do you rate this brand? I did contact them but they wanted me to send it to them, sadly I am in South Africa so wouldn't risk sending it so far. Any info or pointers much appreciated;)
I was wondering, could you a review a product by Oroboros Watches? They make good products but I don't see much recognition for them in the watch world because of how new they are.

A great video review as always :) the Roche is now sold out.
would you consider including the JLC Master Control Geographic in your review of this category?
Good question. Personally I would not. That is a luxury watch and thus a separate tier or level in price, quality, heritage, mechanically, and prestige.
Thank you,

Just a quick question ...I've actually just purchased a tag heuer formula 1 chronograph blue quartz watch can I just ask for your opinion on this brit to brit
Great looking watch I think its worth the price, good review.
Stunning piece! Is it just me, or did some of the macro shots look a little rough?
Good point. To be fair, macro shots are VERY unforgiving. To the naked eye it looks amazing. Even luxury watches suffer at this level, then again, in real life none of us have macro lenses attached to our eyes.
Thank you,
Bes tregards,

I like the styling, but would gravitate towards the version with the white main dial and blue outer dial section. Another worldtimer that I found interesting at least from pictures is the one by Frederique Constant, but that one stretches into the 4k price range.
Excellent point my friend. In fact, I went on a bit of a tangent about the FC, Montblanc and several other offerings at the price range you speak of, but cut it out to make the video shorter. So glad you mentioned this.
Thank you Klaus,
Best regards

What Vernier Caliper are you using? I have been searching for a good quality plastic variant.
It's Biele, mostly German speakers ordered a dark purplish-red sports watch hand. From Farer, UK brand, Swiss made.
Great video..... but....The Endurance got stuck in the Antarctic, not the Arctic! :)
The intro music is cool. Is it all instrumental or an actual song? Can you please add a link?
Hello-I inherited a beautiful old Girard Perregauz but I can't find out much about it. It's 14c gold and is tiny, possibly 1950's. Do you rate this brand? I did contact them but they wanted me to send it to them, sadly I am in South Africa so wouldn't risk sending it so far. Any info or pointers much appreciated;)
Is the 24 hour rotating automatically
I was wondering, could you a review a product by Oroboros Watches? They make good products but I don't see much recognition for them in the watch world because of how new they are.
Can you make a video of Ginault Silent Service Diver please
Maybe I can't afford a mechanical world timer watch, but a Casio A500... why not ;)
I really like the design, with the applied numbers...
Ciao! Orologio molto bello e grandissima recensione! ❤
Wish they had a day and month complication also, both are available in the ETA movement line of this watch.
Suspect because of their dial size is smaller 39 mm is no room
I have the Stanhope 2, love it.
