I've been wondering through this European series about how much you've stopped to enjoy the places you've been to outside of your explorations. The Bernese Alps are my favorite place to visit in the world so it makes me so happy to see you guys really dive into the experience in this video!
My God, some of these comments are asinine. Why carry two tents when the one they have fits two and will generate more body heat(without the need for cuddling) rather than sleeping alone in one tent. Enjoy the content and grow up!
I still enjoy camping! My Dad does Civil War skirmishes, and twice a year we go to Winchester VA in the Shenandoah valley where they have a campground. We started with a tent, but now he has a vintage 1970 Apache pop-up camper!
I'm an experienced back country hiker. While you can't be 100% safe in a tent during a storm, using an insulated pad under your sleeping bag can minimize the risk of being struck by lightening via a ground current. That said, I once camped on a open beach during a storm, took those precautions and had no problems. Not saying I rec. doing that if you can avoid it.

Linus Wärn no if you compare the color to all of the straw/grass laying around on the grass around them it is the same color as that. Just look closer before you start calling people out.
You were in the BEST spot NOT to get hit by lightning. Lightning strikes the tallest object. Trees, buildings...etc. Since you were in a small plateau down and away from trees and buildings, you were safe. Your car would have been struck before your tent.
