The 198mph record I believe he's referring to is Dick Smiths SC 427 CSX 3035, he set the record at Daytona, (a track, not a runway or whatever straight they drive on) in I beleive 1965-66! In addition his crew chief came up to him immediately after setting the record and discussed it, Dick sad the tach was reading a specific RPM which calculated out to 201mph. They were off on the radar that timed him for that record! These were Dicks words to my ears, not hearsay! He was a good friend. I wish they were not adding all the aero bits to get this car over 200mph.....its not IMO breaking Dicks original record in the same identical car. Congrats though on getting over 200mph, its quite a feat!
