    Huge tip - Apply to local businesses. I just landed a hybrid Web Developer position for $30/hour full time here in Fresno. While usually you should get more, $4800/month before taxes is enough for me and my family. And I am grateful to God and people like Dorian. Thanks man!

      @@DorianDevelops thank you man! I just got out of prison 6 months ago as well for Vehicular Manslaughter, which I didn't even do. I fought it for four years and there was no blood or damage or anything on my truck or trailer, and the dash cam footage didn't have a person to hit when I got close to his tow truck. But I got in shape in there. And got sober and did my best and was saved by God. And now I'm even more blessed with this new position. It's amazing.

    Im redesigning a web page for a small company in my area. I know html, css, javascript, and bootstrap 5. I've learned a lot, and I use the documentation page, google, youtube, and chatgpt to get the job done. I think this will give me an opportunity for payment or employment.

    Thank you so much for this video. It encouraged me to work on my subscription based platform where I will be converting unlimited Figma designs to real web pages (React, angular, html, css, bootstrap). I will be launching it this week. So excited :-)

    Good initiative to make this video and it will help a lot of people but people should be aware that HTML & CSS is not enough, they should atleast learn JS and if they can TS. + learning REACT or ANGULAR depending on their location is optimal.

    Hey Dorian any chance you can do a vid on UX/UI design ? I know you spoke about it briefly in a video. I know there’s some designers that are subscribed to you that may want to know the in’s and out’s, thanks.

    The reality is if you only know html and css, you likey arent skilled enough to make a real product that is worth the money the company pays. The finished product is going to be so far below the standard of a typical site with zero functionality. You will probably be laughed at and told, "My 9 year old built a website like this"

      THIS. What really makes money is being able to understand people's problems and providing a solution to them, or being able to sell the need to have something.

    You didn’t mention about a simple sass someone could build with just html and css like css generator , flexbox generator and css grid generator. It could be a simple application someone could build and monetize with Adsense

    Would you say it's a good idea to try and get good with HTML and CSS before trying to move to JS and frameworks? Although I have a tiny bit of experience with HTML, CSS, JS, react, python, I'm still weak on just basic HTML and CSS and I feel I should start with building my portfolio site with that then move on to projects with JS, react, etc. Thoughts?

    • @Icedanon
      @Icedanon 8 місяців тому +1

      The fundamentals are js css and html. Get decent at those three. Once you do that, move on to frameworks. The frameworks are their own beast. However, by the time you become employable, all the jobs will be taken by ai and an oversaturated job market with more experience than you.

    • @buzzdrew7
      @buzzdrew7 8 місяців тому

      @Icedanon Then there's no point in learning anything, cuz all jobs are going to be taken by AI as well. Before you say, "Go get a blue collared job," I'll say no, those aren't safe either. They'll just build robots. We might as well get fat and be like the people on WALL-E. Or I can be the guy that learns shit, and if there's a chance of getting into something better, good for me. If not, no biggie, I've still got my "secure" (or so they say) government job....unless that gets taken over by AI, which any idiot with an IQ over 70 can do. There's a chance that no matter what I do with my time, I'm screwed either way. So tell me, what better things should I be doing with my time? And no, video games and watching the boob tube don't count. Before you say spend time with your kids, I'll say I don't and won't ever have kids. Let's just say the deed has already been done. Don't have much of a life anyway, so there will still be spare time to spend with my wife while learning a new skill. Also, I don't give a shit if someone across the planet who I'll never meet thinks I'm a complete and utter retard for spending time learning a new skill that could be useful someday. Thank you and have a nice life! 😀😀😀😀😀
