I have just watched a documentary on the BBC in the UK. On the England cricket team. Which as you know I am sure, is an institution 😉. What came of the documentary was the mental pressure to perform at the highest level day in and day out and many players broke down in the end from it. Now you are saying, where are you going with this? I often see in the inside the club videos the mental pressure those kids take on and I am always impressed how as a unit they do seem to absorb it !! I feel this stems from a great education they are given (which again is tough), but I feel that understanding helps with the bands strengths. As I keep repeating myself, when out there performing, they under extreme scrutiny all the time from a million eyes 👀 and cameras 🎥. So that’s my soap box bit 😉😂 the future is bright the future is Orange 🍊

This is something that should be mentioned more often, as a lot of countries say it’s part of their schooling. Did actually hear one tv commentary team at the RP, mention that the band rehearse 4 hours after school and every weekend. They was a NZ lady on her blog who was sent a video of KT at Disney, part of the 2017/18 tour. Teaches in Japan (only an from Kyoto), that the students work really really hard in after school activities.
The drum major was interviewed and she revealed the practice schedule. Drum major is in charge. Students teach other students. Adults play small role. Every day begins with 90 minutes of physical training. Students dont change activities. Baseball players only play baseball. I think the Japanese culture emphasizes hard work, discipline and perseverance.

後ろからついて来る1年生達は2018年ローズパレードの時には中心の3年生メンバーになるまでに成長してます。
マルチタムの子の表情は重い楽器持って演奏した場合、どうしたってこうなるよね、しかも暑いし😵
だからみんなやらない、出来ない。でも橘はやるんです。ゴールド金賞🥇以前に彼女達は無報酬で演じるエンターティナー
一度でも橘吹部を見たら橘中毒にしてしまう悪魔ちゃん達なんです。
僕はそんな風に見てて気付いたら10年以上中毒です。中毒症状の患者世界中に沢山居るのがコメ欄見たらわかりますね。
こうして観ると華やかさだけじゃないんだな…体調の悪い日もあるはず。 ｵﾚならぶっ倒れてるぞ、こりゃ。
皆さんと同じくドラム大変だろな😱 「皆、キツいのはわかるけど笑顔じゃないよ、笑顔で演奏せな見てるお客さんも楽しくないで」こんな感じだったでしょうかホラっちゃ先輩？胸に突き刺さる名言多すぎるわ😢私が橘見るたび涙溢れでる訳は、多分ホラっちゃ先輩の色々な名言を重ね合わせているからだろう😭

以前は、男子のドラム担当が居たみたいですけど、最近はずっとドラム担当は女子ばっかみたいですね！

フルートの彼女は、2015年の1年生のこのとき、これほど歩くことさえぎこちなかったのに、今はもう完全に京都橘高校吹奏楽部の一員として、完璧な演奏演技をこなしていることに、誰もが感動するのではないでしょうか。アメリカ遠征でも思いっきり応援させていただきます。

They practice 38 hours per week outside of school, year around.

2005年のドラムの方がダンスをしながらマーチングやるというのを考えたらしく､その時からずっとシングシングシングとこのダンスが続いているとのことです。笑ってコラえてマーチングの旅で言っていました。
