Better plot: Humans crash on a planet, think it’s a primal earth and they time traveled. Then they realize the “dinosaurs” are alien kaiju dinosaur Hybrids.
Literally the actual plot but reversed or something
I wish the tyrannosaurs and the fasolasuchus fought at the end instead of getting sent to the main menu by darth Vader from Panda Express
What’s even worse is that 65 had the audacity of advertising their dinosaurs as “actually scary” when all they do is roar and get shot at. Hollywood really doesn’t understand what makes dinosaurs cool at all.

I think the cat kaiju thing is supposed to be a Fasolasuchus I thinks. And that 65 million years ago.
I thought that the pterosaurs in this movie were the only accurate creatures that made it in...until I realized that (spoilers)

Making this to be a good story, was as simple as making movie about future people being stranded on an alien planet with dinosaur-looking animals.
No, they decided instead to make a movie about human-looking aliens being stranded on Earth with inaccurate dinosaurs.
Great decision.

This movie was destined to fail, but that doesn't mean dinosaurs outside the JP has no place in cinema. Maybe Hollywood will create something else... Dinotopia reboot, some new adaptations of Doyle's Lost World or some Bradbury's short stories... I don't know - something.
Sucks how there were no other people than the 2 main ones, because I was hoping to see dinosaur kills. Bad chance to have the people survive the crash and wander around. The closest we got to a Dinosaur eating someone is when that Godforsaken Rex thing chomped on Adam Drivers holograph of his daughter.

4:40 the plot of the movie is that humans are not native to earth. That's why they show us their native planet and that earth IS an alien planet for them. Driver isn't an alien who coincidentally looks human, humans ARE the aliens. In which case of course he never realises he's on Earth because to his species it's just a random alien planet.
That's...dumb, to be honest.

I was immediately wary of this movie when I saw the terrible designs in the trailers. One of my friends watched it and said it was alright but couldn't really elaborate on anything which makes sense because this movie looks soulless. Why is it so hard for movies with dinosaurs to just be good and not be a jurassic movie. It shouldn't be THIS hard. I think the worst part though is just the feeling I get from it. Everytime I see a design that is overtly monster-like while impersonating a real species I get the feeling that the creators really don't respect real dinosaurs and it pisses me off.

the reality is, is that deep down, the general public might not even truly believe that dinosaurs are even real creatures, but rather "those big scaly things from Jurassic Park" and since most people go to these movies for the mindless action, that's all they see and understand of them.
That also makes me disinterested to watch 65

I watched this movie with some friends and I swear we fell asleep by the time they went to the caves. Such a missed opportunity but nothing some Prehistoric Planet 2 wouldn´t fix. Btw nice review you should do more.
I hate how the most accurate creatures in this movie aren't even dinosaurs.
There will apparently be a new dinosaur movie next year set in the 1980's or something. IDK if it will be good or not, but if it is, it can maybe show that non-JP dinosaur movies can be good.

If the creature designers actually decide to use accurate dinosaurs, that would be cool. On the other hand, because it's set in the 1980's... maybe we could have something else... I actually think it would be cool if they showed Retrosaurs!

It would be awesome to see a MODERN movie with a Kangaroo-Tailed T. Rex, a Swamp-Dwelling Brontosaurus, and a Spiky-Frilled Agathaumas.
This felt like they wanted to do alien movie but decided to cash in on dinos because of Jurassic world. If only they knew that people don’t want their dinosaurs to be completely unrecognisable.

I watched the movie and thought it was ok, but it's probably because I was still empty after watching JWD which is why I just felt meh. From a general perspective, this movie had everything it needed to be a fun flick, they just didn't know how to piece it together.
Oh, and apparently the Big Cat Final Boss was supposed to be a Fasolasuchus 🤷♂️

I paid for half of this movie when we watched it and it sucked my girlfriend fell asleep and we just tried to ignore that hot water only works when the plot deems it necessary.
I'm pretty sure they mentioned at the start of the film, that they weren't humans but some ancient civilisation. But then again it was barely ever touched on, leaving most of the audience In confusion. If dominion was bad then this movie was just...

100% agree. I write horror movie reviews (in german language) and let's be honest, most horror movies are very simple and made with a low budget. This movie had the budget to create cool and more realistic dinosaurs, but they didn't. And this made me very angry! The whole story is fucking boring, too. They blamed Covid-19 for it, but they simply didn't it well... Nearly no dialogues, ugly "creatures" and ULTRA lazy script writing is the reason this movie is "a big pile of shit"... Greetings from Germany!

I think a better movie idea would be aliens crashing onto earth in the late Cretaceous period. Obviously have accurate dinosaurs and maybe non humanoid aliens. Also no weapons for the aliens it would up the stakes in my opinion. 👍

Also we were supposed to get some Ankylosaurus but apparently that and the trike were cut out because “not cool enough dinosaurs”
Apparently this test screening the allegedly had for this film showed them and the viewers complained. Who the hell chose these people who sound like they don’t even care one bit for dinosaurs even if you attached a popular actor to them.

Not the worst movie I've seen, but probably bottom 5. I'm so glad I didn't watch this in theaters, had a much better time making fun of it at home with friends.
But even then, this movie was too boring to really be so bad it's good, so it's just plain bad lol.
I think the weird spiky herbivore thing is meant to be Jakapil.
Who knows what the hell time I feel bad for 65, I love this movie I cried at the end 😢 10/10 (in my opinion, don’t even try to change my mind nothin’ will work)

Qt least dominion had some potential and dinosaur momments. I just think 65 is worse than Dominion. The cgi kinda felt cheap in my opinion.

To be fair - Quiet Place was already pretty silly movie, so no wonder this one turns out to be the same.
Would have preferred this would be an alien movie instead and had more information of the backstory because it was very vague
I finally checked this film out on Netflix. I liked it somewhat. Sometimes I like watching garbage, and honestly the survival aspect of the film wasn’t too bad.
The animals themselves, however… I was routinely baffled by them.
Out of place Triassic animals?? I didn’t even know what they were supposed to be until I looked it up tbh. There’s a litany of Cretaceous animals they could’ve gone with idk why they did what they did.
And I was disappointed that it was PG-13 and had no other survivors so no Dino kills, no body count for this flick.
And no Trike in a Cretaceous extinction movie is a sin.
That said there were things to like here and I still had some fun with it. Just wish the dinosaurs were better.
It's such a shame because as corny as it was, I really liked the premise and was hoping for a shlocky, gory dino-fest. That's not what I got, sadly.

I think this movie is the « Moonfall » of the dinosaurs movies genre. Because in the first mentioned film, it is revealed that ancient human civilization lived before earth. Stupid idea, yeah, but a good excuse for a man vs dino excuse. 65 was okay by the way.

I just watched 65, it was good but very bland. All the dinosaurs had literally the same skin color and skin texture. Their sounds were the same roars I have heard over and over again. At this point I think we need a dinosaur movie that's scientifically accurate. Like dino fax short story 'The Hunt.'

A ship crashed into a alien dinsoaur planet??? Like its not their unique idea bc theres a game named carnivores which is a very old gane like ot was wade in 1998 i think but it was a succesfull game and also 2 other games and a spin-off and a remake which i prefer the OG more i like in carnivores they just remove some of the features of the creatures like removing the crest of allo and making it smaller and if we think the models are based on old paloentolgy it makes dinos i litte weird and also spino being smaller than and cera just being just big as rex and chasmo is just a baby trice i mean its my childhood and the whole story is just written they just explain i mean the reason why we are hunting dinos is bc planet was habitable so humans tried they failled when they did jot know these aliens did not exist well in a way theres this temple on one of the maps and theres a whispering sound on it it says give your soul to join the harmony i think ngl it would be good if we had a movie or a show about carnivores the game had a lots of thing that left unexplained thats one of the things remake does not have right now it has no suspicous buildings or something it has nothing to explore and the dino models suck its good but they domt feel like animals from other planets i mean carnivores has dinosaurs but they remove some of the features to make them difftent from their real life counter parts in the remake they just look like normal dinos they dont feel like aliens thats one of the things the orginal game did right

@@CommanderM820 if you enjoyed this movie I'm genuinely happy for you. I didn't. It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Jurassic World made the Indominus rex and the Indoraptor but actually gave them LORE, with competent amounts of world building that convinced you on their inclusion in the wider universe. As much as I don't like fallen kingdom, I LOVE the first Jurassic World movie. It's a simple concept with solid writing, and the Indominus rex's visual design, audio design, and more was done on a more than competent level. Everything about 65 was rushed and unexplained. Keep in mind The Indominus and Indoraptor are genetic man-made creations, while 65 is passing off everything in their film as historical creatures with no explanation. While I don't like the latter two Jurassic movies, they actually had a plot and world building that made them, well, movies. 65 was just an amalgamation of various chaotic elements thrown into a blender with Adam Driver on the cover to sell tickets.
Anyways, rant over- don't let my opinion sway you on your own, if you liked the movie, I'm happy for you- but nothing more could convince me on swaying my opinion on it. :)

To be honest, I thought 65 was an excellent horror movie. I don't see why people are ripping on it, because the style of this movie is to NOT be taken TOO literally, but rather just a movie where they just need to survive. I feel like these reviews are just to rip on it to get views. It's a pathetic excuse, because OBVIOUSLY some people like this movie. This is honestly sad and pathetic
If you actually listen to what reviewers have to say about the movie, there is more than enough basis for all the criticisms. If you liked it I'm more than happy for you, but genuinely this was one of the worst films I've ever seen. :)

with all do respect I think this is a very bad review. Unlike the recent jurassic world movies this movie at least tries to be different and you punish it for that. You may not like the designs but I think they are at least they are unique. This movie is different in the sense that its the most generic dinosaur movie to date? rivaling the movies from the 50's
The rexes are just V-rexes and the raptors are all Jp3 shitoffs, the Lagosuchus is a tree creeper and the Fasolasuchus is an indominus rex. The compies are JP shitoffs. All of them were boring, unoriginal, stupid, goofy ass designs
