    This looks too easy as compared to my liner algebra class in first year of college. I submitted my final project work just yesterday and I'm preparing for a technical interview for a job. I decided to go through this and I was like, seriously?! Was it that easy in first year? But I guess the video was made two years after I took that class so it's fine. Thank you very much. I watched your videos on Laplace transform (also two years after I took the class). It was great!

      No... it is not.
      It is a scalar number that can scale a matrix in the direction of the eigenvector.

      Why is it important?
      Because an "EIGENVALUE" is usually THAT SPECIAL NUMBER That won't change the direction of the matrix, which is where eigenvectors come in. To maintain the matrix form just scaled.
