Tip for ozone use: 1. use tygon hose and ozone resistant air stone, 2. Measure your ozone level with ozone strip test, dont go beyond 0.5 concentration. 3. Make sure to monitor your ozone level on pond, it must be zero when the water goes back to pond or the skin quality will suffer.
Given the right dosage of ozone and maintained for atleast 3months. The skin just shines and water parameters are great. I use UV and ozone at the same time, i observed that ozone alone can’t keep up with algae growth. You cant overdose ozone as well because it will cause burns on the skin. Hope this helps :)
hi! A super amateur, noob hobbyist here. How is this setup going? I hope you are still using it? Does it affect the koi positively or negatively also? I know in theory this is a very good addition but in my readings, it can also do oxidative damage to living creatures. I hope you found a way to make it effective without affecting koi. Looking forward to more of your videos. thanks
Hello SK, yes it's still activated and it's active 24 hours a day now. The effect is the same as in the video, it really kills a lot of algae. As a result the mechanical filter is always filled with dead algae. Like short dog fur clogged in the filter brushes. The other effect is of course a much aggressive bacteria killing action in the final filter chamber. This I cannot confirm but knock on wood I never have koi health issues. They just really hungry all the time haha.
@@thekoipondexperience1259 thanks for the response. great to know. I plan to follow suit with my ecosystem pond. But i also read that it directly affects by lowering ammonia and nitrite. But i'm just wary that it may also kill the beneficial bacteria. Well i'm sure you'll innovate some more. hope to see more of the ozone stuff.
@@stonedkoi Welcome, so long as it's setup on the the last & final chamber our beneficial bacteria will be safe. Ozone is a really good addition to the the filter system and I highly encourage it.
The Ozone Generator was on timer. I was experimenting still on its effects on the Pothos plants. I knew they were safe for the fish. While the UV Lights were On full time.
Good question Vic. I am hoping it is. That remains to be seen. I'm relying on the plastic quality of the Periha brand, particularly the impeller part. Cause that is what comes in contact with the Ozone bubbles.
Hello again please guide me i have 50 mil ozonizer machine and my pond is 4500 liter how many ozone need Injection in pond and How many hours a day should be used thank you
@@kiogh5295 I see, if I ratio mine to yours, my Ozone has an output of 2,000mg for my 19,000 liters pond. So in your case that 50mg is a small output and will suit your 4,500 liter pond. Activating it 12 hours a day is a good very safe start. But I am guessing its perfectly safe to activate that 24 hours a day because of its small ozone output.
@@thekoipondexperience1259 thank you very much your advice is so big help for me and one more question i have 80 koi in pond is this safe when ozone device is on for kois?
@@kiogh5295 Yes its safe for the koi as long as the Ozone is generated in your filter chambers and not directly to the water at the main pond. So many koi, are they in that 4,500 liter pond of yours?

Thanks for this Jay, personally I have very limited experience with Ozone. That's why in this video I'm taking little steps on using Ozone.

@Errol Jay Bastareche burns on skin? Ozone in water has a half life of 15 mins. I guess chlorine doesn't leave burns on skin either.
Quality video my dear, thank you for sharing your experience!
Looking forward to your channel's success.
Thanks for the kind words.

How are you using this ozone for 24h or still timer? And where you place your ozone? Thanks bro.
Still using this generator ? Any update?
Hiii... Have you ever measure your dissolve ozone after running for 15min
Very interesting video
Thanks for dropping by SL, have a nice day my friend.

In Philippine peso this is around Php2,000
Good & informative video but please remove all unnecessary sound effects..
Please take care, UV interferes in ozone, it deactivates ozone and will not have the desired effect.
Appreciate the information bro, this is new for me. Thank you.
