This video really puts me in my place. I've spent the last couple days walking around the Oasis looking for the "ideal" spot for a castle. It never dawned on me to arrange it like this. Thanks for the inspiration!

11:26 These occasional construction bugs can really drive someone crazy... I mean if it's not a pure bug at least tell me precisely what's wrong Funcom ! Anyway great build, fairly simple in design but efficient and very beautiful nonetheless. And of course as always you nailed the decoration and furniture. Discovered your channel a few days ago and bingewatched a good chunk of it. Looking forward to see it grow :)
Yeah, the occasional bugs are hella annoying but they usually end up getting fixed. I'm glad you liked the build & the channel so much, nothing but more content coming in the future

Its beautiful. You should make a pvp fort castle type base like slightly honeycombed but still has castle appeal and then have a wall around the castle with it being in the center with one entry point on a high spot just for me:)

Beautiful build location. Looks like it might be a nice place to build a villa, perhaps in Roman style using Aquilonian.
Definitely would be a good spot for an Aquilonian villa or a Domus, might have to re-use this spot soon
First time having seen one of your videos - funnily enough on my quest to study tips and tricks regarding castle building. I definitely like your design, aesthetically pleasing and the contrasting sea and nature within the domestic area is definitely nice - my only critique is that some of your arrowslits may be inaccessible, and the lower awning wasn't necessary as the top portion would've naturally protected against rain - perhaps you could've created murderholes for the archers over the doors themselves?
Please don't take my critique the wrong way they're just a few observations from a castle fanatic. Cheers man!
Glad you enjoyed the video Knyght! There are quite a few changes I would have made regarding fortifications to the castle, namely murderholes as you mentioned. However seeing as I try my best not to use mods for the console viewers, I'm often restricted by what material set I'm using. Still, I'm glad you like the design :)
@@Eradicati0nn Fair enough, I originally found Conan through console but migrated to the PC version once I managed to work one off. Now, even though vanilla is still fun I refuse to play without mods (despite how long the load times can be...)
@@KnyghtTeddy Yeah the load times are agonizing with mods. I use LBPR just to make things a bit easier for myself, but aside from that I try to stay as vanilla as possible for the console guys. Mods do make the game a lot more fun at times though

I hate that bug with circular towers and sloped walls, I too, have no idea what causes it, or how I manage to fix it, 😂

@@rogueassassin335 I do have one clan base I've made, but I can definitely try to make a large base such as this. Bare in mind I don't build to the PvP meta, seeing as I don't play PvP so I don't know what the meta is, but I can probably make a nice looking base

We're planning to create some smaller settlements on the scattered islands in the Colonizing Conan project, but as for smaller builds suited to one video, that can definitely work
I do really like your castle builds, but I agree with your decision to take a break from them for a bit... Have you thought of doing a sort of Karnak temple site build? I know Conan Exiles doesn't really have any Egyptian style large sculptures to use nor hieroglyphic "skins" but doing it in stone or Turanian might be interesting... Also, how about another update on your settlement series? It's been a while...

I really enjoy your builds. I wonder if you could do a College of Winterhold build from Skyrim. I've tried to do it on Xbox but I couldn't get it quite right or find the ideal location for such a large structure.

I could get everything besides the Rope Bridge some reason won't let me Spawn it in so I decided to the drawbridge
Usually if it comes up with "failed spawning game item" its because you don't have the DLC. Drawbridges work nicely too though

I don't really like the Turanian DLC for the most part tbh, I find it to be really, really niche. I do wanna use it in the future though

Sorry to point it out, but you made the buttresses on one of the side walls a little too high. Fantastic build though!
