    So many people ask me how these kite routines are coordinated when I showed them videos. This is the best example of how it is all practiced and put together. Thank you John for posting this.
    Would like to see a Kites on Sticks pre-practice video of these maneuvers.

    So good! Love the kinkiness of the cube, switch, cube, thread sequence. Also that 1-2 indy....hell yeah!

    Incredible for an unrehersed routine especially considering one of you had only 12 months experience at the time of filming. I'm getting my first Rev in a few weeks . I hope I can fly like this in one years time , and I just mean on my own no formation flying ! :-)

      Be sure to explore the tutorials at learnkites.com, and consider that the kites in this video are not Revs, they are Djinn, using an evolved bridle design and superior construction. kiteforge.com/Djinn ;)

    Amazing, how long have you been flying? As a team?

      That was our first official team practice with the four of us. But we've all flown together before. The guy calling the shots (#1 position, from the right, blue kite) has been flying for 30 years, I've been flying for 12 years (#2, black/pink kite), the #3 position (black/white kite) has flown about 10 years, and the black/pink/blue kite is a brand new pilot! She had only flown for about one year when this was filmed!

    My new hobby watch stunt kite teams. It's cool hearing the captain calling out the maneuvers. You are flying the "white/blue kite" aren't you. Watching closely, I can actually tell who the two seniors vs new pilots are. How do you deal with one pilot ahead or behind the formation? Can you compensate or just a matter of bring everyone up to speed through practice. Keep on.

      I would be venture the idea that it isn't about kites ahead or behind, but the *space* between them, and subsequently, the idea that it's about familial bonding, trust, and iterations. I'll tell you what I tell them when they ask about those variables... Do it again. Again. Again. After a certain point, regardless of experience level, the true answers lie mostly in iteration and reiteration, holistic understanding of the snake, if you will. Ahead or behind is momentary, and only addressed when chronic and needs a slap. Otherwise... Again. Again. Kiss. Again.

      @@JohnBarresi That's amazing the time and practice to reach a goal of full synchronicity. You four are like a rock group, I am sure you must also get used to each others personality. Keep on. Any chance of night demonstrations with LED kites?

      Search for iQuatre for night flying, not with lights for us on video yet, but there is a bunch of good video by others.

    What's "sweet spot"?

    • @wakechick77
      @wakechick77 2 роки тому +1

      The sweet spot means the best spot in the wind window for whatever move we’re doing. Usually it means not too high, not too low, and centred in the window.
