This is one of the best and most unique fan experiences you can have. As far as I know, no other band dares to do something like Flake is doing here. That's how big and justified Rammstein's trust in their fans is. The song is not about a shark, but about solidarity and friendship and trust. As in the band, so also to the fans
Oh no, there are several Bands with stage diving or boarding members. Kraftklub does (4 members in a row, have a look: watch?v=Ep4AniXtfTg), Toten Hosen has done it for decades (after climbing on the traverse). Kurt Cobain, Iggy Pop, Fred Durst and many maany Underground Punk and Rock or Metal Bands does. With using the boat between Flake and the crowd there is a bigger barrier like by other bands. Quite the opposite of what you say in comparison. And nothing unique. ;) Nice move anyway.
It is not a "gate" which separates the crowds, it is a wave breaker to avoid too much pressure from the people standing in the rows behind and also to have easier access if something happens
👩🏻🦰 ... you assumed it already...that was exactly what happened one day ...Flake fell out of the boat; but there were no more audience....🚣♂️.. And yes, he had to run back to the stage, had to use the backdoor and could go back on stage with the help from the security staff. Another evening (it was the last concert of the tour) he fell out of the boat again, landed on the floor and was taken to hospital. Flake is telling all these funny stories in his book "Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag" (it's the world's birthday today).
I think someone mentioned to me the story before. How he fell and had to run back. I believe that's where the idea came from, LoL. I did not hear about the hospital part though.
"Rock am Ring" (rock at the ring; ROCK AHM RHING) is a major outdoor festival. The "am" part is not pronounced "A-M" (but AHM) because it is a regular word, in particular the contraction of "an dem" (at the) while "dem" indicates the dative case (at whom or what) of the masculine definite article "der". :)
That's indeed a break for Till! They started doing it so he could hide in the shadows for a few minutes without anyone looking at him as people were busy with the boat.
Rammstein are great at elevating their middling songs (which is where I'd rank this track in terms of their overall discography) by doing cool and original stuff during their performance for it, like they did here. It makes you look forward to pretty much every track when performed live - if not for the song itself then the theatrics or effects that are attached to it - even if you'd ordinarily skip it when listening to the album it's on.
Yes lol thank you for responding. There actually is like a children’s song version of this or my mother just sung this version to me as a child idk. I am German and our children’s story’s can be kind of Grimm So thanks again for the reply and your videos 😀
I'm sure I recall one of the band saying that Flake got pulled into the crowd once from the boat and they stripped him near on naked so he stopped doing it for a long time after that
Damn that's messed up. Don't do that shit guys, you ruin it for the band and for all future audiences who may not get to enjoy this kind of cool fan interaction :( I have seen Ollie in the boat in some performances, so I guess he took over when Flake didn't want to do it.
@@NIN2277 Fortunately they are still doing it, on the last tour they did it with "Ausländer" 🙌🏼🔥. And actually all the members have had their turn in the boat, the only one I don't remember seeing is Till 🤔
Yes! I also read it 😅, he had to surround the whole place, fortunately the staff recognized him for how little he had left of his clothes 🥺. Fortunately he was not in Mexico, we are half intense 😅😂😂😂
Similar to this, you have to take a look to "Auslander" (stranger)live in Vienna 2019...In the second half of the concert they something really close to this...amazing even that,in pure Rammstein's style!👍🤟😃
I already checked out a live performance of Auslander, way back. It was in Berlin though. I'm guessing it's almost the same concert: ua-cam.com/video/b3NiNQjCImw/v-deo.html
I did go and see slipknot in London and one of the group did this while holding a camera, he got tipped out and at the end of the snow they asked for the camera back lol, this was 90s I hope my memory is right as I'm nearing the big 60 lol, great reaction sir thanks

Great band, great fans in perfect symbiosis.

Wow, great knowledge thanks, I wondered if he ever fell out lol
This concert is one of their best regarding sound, especially the drums. Sonne, Rammlied and Ich will killed it that night.
Nice!

Well said.
First section closest to o stage is called the fire zone. Costs little more and obviously hot ass hell lol
Yeah! It sounds awesome! :D
Funny thing is that song is based on a song called „Mackie Messer“ ( und der Haifisch der hat Zähne) in terms of melody and the chorus.

Like I mentioned in the video, if that happens, they can just end the concert. Not really a good idea for the fans.

More on the way!
I would rate the song as some sort of synthpop, just to remember that some of the guys are Depeche Mode fans.
Rammstein es otro pedo muy buenas reacciones hermano💪💪
Thank you for watching!
The intro sounds for me a bit like depeche mode
In Germany we have many different words for rain and very often it rains. The last few days we had 'Dauerregen' it just stopped.
I don't know Depeche Mode too much, so I'll take your word for it. :)
Cool!
Depeche mode and Rammstein have a connection, thats why Rammstein did the cover version of 'Stripped'.
Lol Till sounds so dead here :D
It's heartfelt. :)
