Love it! The sound of the leveler with the gravel scraping, the way the ground looks after it passes thru, the camera view is perfect! I could watch all day!
So satisfying to watch! Since I stopped paying for a TV licence (here in the UK) I have discovered and learnt so much more. I am obsessed with tractor attachments and make my own so these are very interesting to me 😎
I find the hardest part is getting the gravel to loosen up enough to fill the grading scraper/land leveler at the start. I also found the implement works best when its got a substantial load on it.You go slow at the start to try and get the gravel loose, then you pick up speed once you have enough loose gravel to make the implement sift. I had a 7' Cammond (no scarifiers, wished it had them) on a 50hp tractor, its a much deeper grading scraper/land leveler so it can carry a lot more gravel in it, and it would make the tractor work. Also corners are a bit of an interesting endeavor, as the implement moves with the tractor during the turn, the box sides will scrape all the gravel away from the inside of the turn so the fewer turns you make the better.
Thanks for watching! Yes, scarifier ripper shanks really do help it get started. We've since developed our newest Version, which is deeper and taller. It's a real beast! Check out the new versions here www.everythingattachments.com/Tractor-Land-Levelers-Land-Graders-s/9893.htm
I subscribed I have small farm in north Georgia you seem to build good quality glade someone started making quality equipment I bought a 50 horse branson tractor and all new attachments and went a little big on attachments bc I'm rough on stuff everyone is can't help but be a bought an 8 foot lmc I think box scrap and bent the connection frame just back pushing loose dirt. Glade to see someone that uses what they build and tests it like it should be before sold. My opinion a 50 horse branson should never be able to bend a 8 foot box scrape but hey what do I know
The ripper shanks are great for roads that have lots of small pot holes. On a road with compacted gravel, using the rippers on a damp road will really loosen up the rock. Its necessary to break up the pot holes so the rock will bind together again otherwise the same potholes will return even with a fresh load of rock added. I wouldn't recommend it when it's raining if you have a lot of dirt though. It will become a mess. I enjoy your videos and will look into your product in the future.
I have hay fields that are rough with unlevel areas and pot holes. I"d like to level this smooth these areas so that the haying process is not so rough. Will this leveler work well for this purpose? Thanks, I appreciate your videos.
It should work if you're not concerned with destroying any existing turf. I'd want it to be cut close before using the leveler on it. Thanks for watching!!
Great looking utility tool. It would have been better if someone walked behind the machine and picked the larger rocks off the graded area as they were exposed from the grading. It looks like those bigger rocks are being extra rough on the implement. It might take a bit more time but it would save on implement and tractor hitch parts.
Love your very informative and educational videos. Have a question though. Can't much of the same be done with your box blade ? Or would it be necessary to have both box blade and scraper?
Thanks for watching! We're glad they're helpful to you guys. A box blade is a versatile tool for grading, moving dirt/gravel/etc and can also be used for driveway maintenance. The downside is that it requires so much input from the operator during use if you want good results. The ultimate tool for simple and remarkable driveway maintenance is the land plane. When you get it set to your liking, the land plane will produce EASY, excellent results and all you'll have to do is drop it and ROLL with it! I recommend getting one of our models with ripper shanks for versatility. They'll allow you to break up hard packed soil or blaze a new trail if desired.
It sticks below the side rails around 3/4", but you can configure it so they go down approx 1/4" more by moving spacers. Feel free to give us a call for a clearer explanation. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! Sure. I'd want one at least as wide as the tractor's overall width. You may not be able to lower the scarifiers all the way in difficult soil, but these do not pull that hard. Our Land Shark model is a good option for the 8N. Check it out here: www.everythingattachments.com/Land-Shark-Compact-Tractor-Land-Leveler-p/ls-51-ll.htm
I suppose that in retrospect using the rippers may not have been a great idea since they dislodged the rip rap. Or am I wrong? Did you end up getting pot holes where the rip rap had been?
Very well with our 48” Land Shark Land Leveler. It’s a perfect match! See it here: www.everythingattachments.com/Land-Shark-Compact-Tractor-Land-Leveler-p/ls-51-ll.htm
+EverythingAttachment I have watch a lot of your videos good info. What's the difference between a land leveler and a box grader. They seem to do the same things the land leveler covers a longer area? Is that all? If your maintaining a gravel road and leveling food plots which would you use.
Scott Smith The land leveler is really more efficient and much more user friendly when it comes to maintaining trails, gravel roads, parking lots, etc. A box blade is better for moving material from one place to another, but the land leveler is AMAZING when it comes to applications listed above!
Rip Rap Rock is not meant for driveways, using such will only cause washboard ruts and washed out places as well as potholes in a short period of time.
This video would have been better if it showed the whole process to the end and how the big rocks were dealt with. I think most customers would'nt like all those large stones in the driveway or just left off to the side.Makes me think a couple of passes with a York rake would be helpful to clean things up.

Great video, always enjoy Ted driving. Great camera chasing and drone footage can really see the plane moving large amounts of material.

Drone camera is a nice touch...

I like it I've been using a box blade for years. My roads in a little worse shape than that one. Going to rent one first and try it out
What happened with the rocks?

How do you create a crown in your road using this?
By adjusting one of your tractor lift arms higher than the other. This will make it dig in more on the lower side.
Nice video work. What drone and camera system are you using?
Ted, would these land planes work well for weeding?
I have the same question
How far does the cutting edge stick below the side rails
It sticks below the side rails around 3/4", but you can configure it so they go down approx 1/4" more by moving spacers. Feel free to give us a call for a clearer explanation. Thanks for watching!
Can my 1948 ford 8N, 2wd gas engine tractor be able to pull a 5 or 6 foot land leveler and also with the scarifires or not with the scarifires?

I would of removed some of the bigger rocks with with the front bucket first… ( maybe)
Great implement
even though they obviously dont know what rip rap is lol, I want one of these!
would a bx 2370 cope with pulling this?
Very well with our 48” Land Shark Land Leveler. It’s a perfect match!

DJI osmo / mobile will really help with the camera wobble guys
Can My MF175 handel one of those
Easy my Friend, you have more than enough power there, the MF 175 is powerful and heavy.
+Jan Kotze Thank you
MF135?
Seems like it did a great job. Sort of think you needed a respirator for that job. Thanks for the video.
Faster damn it Faster

Wow. . . Everyone in that neighborhood has a camper. Lol.

Ear muffs man ear muffs that's got to be loud the hydro. On tractor alone is loud
Hey Ted you need ear muffs !
Needs more explanation please, less action video
Here's an 11+ minute explanatory video for ya! ua-cam.com/video/qMQ5xhkIDOQ/v-deo.html
Would a hydraulic top link keep the back of the land leveler touching the ground? It has a gap on it almost the entire video.
