Okay, ah, usefullness of bees... ** cracks knuckles ** Bees produce both honey and honeycomb, both have different uses. Honeycomb can be collected with shears and made into candles along with string. In block form, honeycomb are colorful, bright yellow & orange decorative blocks (I did my entire barn roof in honeycomb!) but more importantly, it can be used to wax copper. To keep copper blocks from aging, you can wax it at any stage (there are four stages of copper aging), and the copper blocks will maintain the current age stage if waxed. This makes for highly customizable copper blocks which, if combined, make gorgeous roofs, statues, fountains... You name it. Honey can be collected in bottles and is stackable up to 16 (unlike water and potion bottles). Honey not only restores three points of hunger, but it will eliminate negative poison effects (vs. milk which removes both poison AND positive potion effects.) Honey blocks also reduce fall damage like hay bales. They are also often used by the redstoners in interesting machines because the sticky properties of honeyblocks mean they can act like slime blocks, can extend push limit of pistons, and some people have even figured out how to use them as conveyor belts!! Beyond my skill level but still pretty awesome. Not to mention, bees increase the speed of your crops maturing, and if you put one on a lead, its basically like a live floating balloon. 😂 Just be sure to put a campfire under any hive or nest before harvesting them (but it seems like you already figured that out!) Since getting lost in nether mines can become a serious problem as they expand, I would recommend making a lodestone and putting it in your mine so if you do get lost, you can be guided back. Lodestone is crafted with 8 chiseled stone bricks around 1 Netherite ingot. Then place it down and click on it with the compass to bind them, then that compass will always point to the lodestone.
Hey. Loving the series so far. A Wither skeletons will only spawn in a fortress bounding box, so you can't place nether bricks just anywhere in the hope they will spawn. I think there are 2 different bounding boxes in a fortress that carry slightly different properties. The outer one will allow wither skeletons to spawn on nether brick and the inner ones will allow a wither skeleton to spawn on netherrack. The inner box tends to be the paths that are already I'm place so if you remove the top layer of nether bricks and place down netherrack with wither roses on top this then makes those spots spawnable to Wither skeletons ONLY. With this in mind you can find a cross road in the fortress and mark out 24 blocks away from the middle in each direction so you can easily see where mobs will start to spawn. Set your render chunks to 3 and replace the nether brick roads with netherrack and wither roses. This would help give you more wither skeletons without making a farm. Again I love long plays so the long videos are a breath of fresh air to me. Keep it up
To add to this, you can also get the bounding box mod, which gives you a keyboard shortcut toggle similar to the chunk border shortcut, and use it to maximize the amount of space you have to get wither skeletons to spawn.
I've been anticipating this video. Such a great series! For the bees, I would suggest placing trapdoors around the campfires so the bees don't off themselves. It may mess with your design, but you'll save more bees in the long run. And idk if you know this, but if you put fortune on your hoe and mine your potatoes and carrots, you get more drops. If you do it with wheat or beetroot, you get more seeds. You can also place different color carpets on lamas! I didn't know this until recently. When you get on them and go to add a saddle or something there is a slot for a carpet. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Highly recommend connected glass texture packs, I love glass builds myself and it helps so much with aquariums etc to avoid those busy borders. Keep up the good work! P.S For your lamas you can actually put different carpets on them to give them different outfits! Since the llama army is growing beautifully 😊(works the same as putting saddles on horses)

I loved hearing your thoughts on minegraft playing. It does feel like a whole movie from a viewer point too. All the feelings.. I did try to play myself too but I only have a tablet so the directing was really hard. I didn't have the patience to learn the coordination 😅 I still love to watch others play. Oh yea i wanted to tell you the villager stalls you could like put a spot whwr they go on pistons and you pull a lever and underground put one zombie and name it so when they are on the piston you pull the lever and it goes one block down just so you dont have to take them villagers out and back in if that makes any sense 😅

This series has been a delight to watch, and awfully painful at the same time. I'm on a weeklong holiday trip and it made me want to play MC so bad, but I can't until I get back home. Still, I honestly enjoy everything about this. The storytelling, the calmness, your sense of style and the "learn as you go" philosophy. It makes you come across as down to earth, love it.

Build an amphitheater first. I think that would be a little better than a colosseum, then you’ll have an idea time-wise what a colosseum would take, maybe? Also to add trap doors around the campfires to keep the bees from burning up

So in regards to your glass situation; If you use Optifine, you can also use a Custom Resource Pack of your own (modified of others or have one made for you) that connects the glass to make it cleaner for you. You can also modify slightly any textures to make it how you want, even including Legionary styled Armor :)
I know it may be late but the wither skeletons spawn within the "invisible square" that surrounds the outside of the fortress, make sure to clear out all nether bricks within the fortress, and try and build any platforms within the fortress itself, for example the empty squares that are surrounded by bridges.

Love the videos, you should add trap doors around the base of the beehives to stop the baby's from burning and one on top of the hive to stop the smoke from popping through, it might clean it up and make it look much better, it looks Great though!

Since you have a chicken farm, you can create a bubble elevator and create a dropper and it will transport it and create auto dispensing egg shooter to shoot eggs to make more chickens

New subscriber here. Really enjoyed this video. Just as a friendly reminder, if you check your footage/video, the Legionaire platform is missing a Quartz slab on top of a wood block. Everytime you go on top of your mob grinder, and look down, it's on the right side of your Legionaire platform. Just to make things more uniform. By the way... Your armor stands can hold weapons/tools (any weapons and tools). I suggest you put the Centurion using a Sword, the Standard Bearers holding a bow, and the Munifex holding axes. Keep up the good work. Excited for the next video.
Honey can be drunk as a food and is really good when poisoned. Honey blocks are decorated or for flying machines. Honey comb is for waxing copper or candles if combined with string. For the honey, if you ever decide to make a large scale farm, more often than not youll need honey so i would start stacking it up just in case you ever decide to do that
i love that minecraft is a game that makes you think. when you look beyond its cutesy appearance/chill vibes (or considering that as well), it really is a survival game like any other. it calls for so much creativity, your mind is always working, thinking of what you're going to do next, even in creative mode.

to make the glass dome/water filling part a bit faster, you could go in between the glass walls where there is a source block already placed and gather water that way, and to put it at the top just look up. that way you don't have to keep running back and fourth. your vids are great btw.
For the camp fires you can still put them underground because the bee hives are one block size. So when you place the bee hives on top of the camp fire you can still have the function of smoking the hives and don’t have to use slabs. If you under stand what I’m saying
another nice trick with honey is to ut honey blocks under villagers in your financial and capitalist section to prevent them from jumping over their job blocks. Keeps the plebs in place.

I know this is very late but for me when fnding wither skulls I got very lucky without looting and got 3 skulls. But one thing I do know is that the majority of my fortress was above lava. But I got very lucky either way and got 7 skulls combineed. But I think you should try to find a fortress over lava and in a soil sand valley if possible.
2:42:09 i have a chicken right above my house stuck on a cliff. Every once in a while i found an egg, always at the same spot. I didn't know about the chicken yet and it was driving me crazy. I tried to hunt it down around the area, but didn't find any chicken at all. When i found it i gave it a name. Now it's Clifford the chicken that leaves an egg on the sidewalk
One more comment I'll make (I bet its annoying but at least it's engagement!) Your fine collection of llamas can get makeovers! After you tame them, you can put different colors of carpets on them and their little outfits will change, depending on the color of carpet. It's one of the most delightful aspects of llamas in this game. I've collected one of every color!
6 bees is the max for each beehive. I love your videos so much! they are great for passing time and background noise while I clean up after my daughter. edit: try adding fences next to the blocks that are part of the chickens fences. like on the back corners. they are probably jumping on the blocks and onto the fences and out.
You could just mend pot shot and another bow together so you can keep pot shot and get the durability up. Also if you mend pot shot and the other bow together you can keep the in chants of pot shot and the other bow. Therefore making the ultimate legion bow.
I like how clean and symmetrical your builds are. Not a bunch of blocks spammed together. Im curious what your builds would look like with the seamless glass mod. Love the shaders used here.
Definitely one of the best minecraft series i’ve watched so far ! Amazing editing and I absolutely love your humor lol. For the new minecraft series you were talking about, I would totally recommend you the Better End (and Better Nether if you want) and Upgraded Netherite mods. I think they add a lot of fun in the game. There are also mods by YUNG that are very fun and add a little bit of difficulty, like Better Strongholds / Ocean Monuments / Fortresses. Hope you’ll check them out !
A good tip for beacons is to build them near bedrock and it will have the effects all the way to the surface. but good work i am also doing a hardcore world as i am watching. Keep up the good work.

If you use Optifine, you can also use a Custom Resource Pack of your own (modified of others or have one made for you) that connects the glass to make it cleaner for you.
You can also modify slightly any textures to make it how you want, even including Legionary styled Armor :)

I know it may be late but the wither skeletons spawn within the "invisible square" that surrounds the outside of the fortress, make sure to clear out all nether bricks within the fortress, and try and build any platforms within the fortress itself, for example the empty squares that are surrounded by bridges.

Love the videos, you should add trap doors around the base of the beehives to stop the baby's from burning and one on top of the hive to stop the smoke from popping through, it might clean it up and make it look much better, it looks Great though!

Honey can be drunk as a food and is really good when poisoned. Honey blocks are decorated or for flying machines. Honey comb is for waxing copper or candles if combined with string. Honey comb block are very nice decorated block. Put trap doors around the camp fires to stop your bees burning on them. Really enjoying the series. 😊

to make the glass dome/water filling part a bit faster, you could go in between the glass walls where there is a source block already placed and gather water that way, and to put it at the top just look up. that way you don't have to keep running back and fourth. your vids are great btw.

For the camp fires you can still put them underground because the bee hives are one block size. So when you place the bee hives on top of the camp fire you can still have the function of smoking the hives and don’t have to use slabs. If you under stand what I’m saying

another nice trick with honey is to ut honey blocks under villagers in your financial and capitalist section to prevent them from jumping over their job blocks. Keeps the plebs in place.

I know this is very late but for me when fnding wither skulls I got very lucky without looting and got 3 skulls. But one thing I do know is that the majority of my fortress was above lava. But I got very lucky either way and got 7 skulls combineed. But I think you should try to find a fortress over lava and in a soil sand valley if possible.
Or a tnt duper and excavate the netherack around the it?

2:42:09 i have a chicken right above my house stuck on a cliff. Every once in a while i found an egg, always at the same spot. I didn't know about the chicken yet and it was driving me crazy. I tried to hunt it down around the area, but didn't find any chicken at all.
When i found it i gave it a name. Now it's Clifford the chicken that leaves an egg on the sidewalk
One more comment I'll make (I bet its annoying but at least it's engagement!) Your fine collection of llamas can get makeovers! After you tame them, you can put different colors of carpets on them and their little outfits will change, depending on the color of carpet. It's one of the most delightful aspects of llamas in this game. I've collected one of every color!
6 bees is the max for each beehive. I love your videos so much! they are great for passing time and background noise while I clean up after my daughter.

try adding fences next to the blocks that are part of the chickens fences. like on the back corners. they are probably jumping on the blocks and onto the fences and out.

For the new minecraft series you were talking about, I would totally recommend you the Better End (and Better Nether if you want) and Upgraded Netherite mods. I think they add a lot of fun in the game.
There are also mods by YUNG that are very fun and add a little bit of difficulty, like Better Strongholds / Ocean Monuments / Fortresses. Hope you’ll check them out !
