Up there on stage, no makeup, no fancy clothes, nothing but her powerful voice!! She still has it, because she's a natural.
The world definitely needs more of this genuine emotion immediately. Most “musicians” could learn lots from this one
I seem to remember her hair was black ..
I like her a little thicker like this too.
@@sumdumguy2648 Lol, me too
Yes woman are more beautiful without makeup, I think, have a wonderful day
Alanis Morissette has one of the most pitch-perfect voices I've ever heard. She's a phenomenal performer.
Her mic proximity technique and open vowel placement and pitch is impeccable!
I’ve loved this woman since her first hit when I was only 11 yrs old. To call Alanis amazing is putting it ever so lightly.
She really puts it all out there, doesn't she? You never have to doubt her passion or authenticity, and that is rare in this world.
I saw her in Atlanta, she was so nice.
Woke up to the Jagged Little Pill cassette every morning at college beginning in Summer 1996. Now I appreciate her talent even more and what she has created for us over the years. A true music Legend.
It's been almost 30 years, and her live performance sounds like the album track - that's incredible!
She absolutely never fails...her voice is as powerful and hypnotic as it ever was! She is legend!❤
*HER VOICE!!!* It went from PERFECT to whatever is above Perfect.
Must add: Tears! Wow.
A real artist. Totally immersed in the song. No body parts hanging out or auto tune. Bravo!!!
Very few artists need to step away from the mic when they'll sing certain notes like her, her voice was and still is very powerful, that has never ceased to amaze me. What a great artist
Alanis being Alanis. Doesn't get any better.
"Take care of yourselves, take care of your children" - Heartfelt Alanis 💛
take care of each other?
She is just as BADASS as she was 25 years ago. I'm 60 and I absolutely love this woman. Keep rockin girl you still got it.
I just turned 60 on the 17th. Happy Birthday everybody!
you too are BADASS ;)
@@MizzesB uh…lol
Also 60, also love her. A pattern is emerging : )
64 and ditto
Girl can still belt out these great tunes.
Not too many vocalists out there like this anymore.
A powerful voice she has. Lucinda Williams is another when she chooses to belt.
Aside from Adele, I really can't think of someone else. I mean, who has to do a half-backbend at the microphone because, at 50 years old, their voice is too powerful???
Good singers don’t need auto tune. They know how to sing. As another commenter mentioned, her mic technique is incredible. Don’t have to scream when you know how to use your voice and the mic, when to get close to it and when you pull away from it.
She is and always has been a truly heart felt instrument of the light.
We needed a change and she opened many doors
She's awesome. I've always admired her uniqueness and creativity. That voice is just epic!
What a voice.
Let's also remember that this Incredible artist and mom, has the 2nd best selling album by a woman in history!!
Pitch perfect and spot-on mic technique, exactly as I'd expect from a proper old school vocalist 👌🏻
What a voice/talent....totally deserves every ounce of her fame.
Fukkin A!!!! she killed it! So impressive. Very inspiring wow
Wow! She hasn't missed a beat. That was beautiful, always such a positive energy coming from her. It's like seeing an old friend. Thanks for sharing.
I feel the same
Her voice is haunting chilling. I saw her in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheatre years ago ams she was awesome
@@klausschlobluvsmesometwood4679 go tute your horn somewhere else!
I love Alanis. We've all grown older but thankfully, there are a few who sound as good as ever.
Vero
Love how she totally goes to another place when she sings. Otherworldly. 🙌
Couldnt have said it better!
If you were not of age in the 90's you wouldn't understand. Cheers to Alanis, Great times and No Smartphones.
Thank you for posting. Great performance. I would of fell on my ass doing that head banging. I was lucky enough to see her right before she got famous in Arizona with Breakfast At Tiffany's .... literally a month before she was famous. I paid five bucks to get in and watched her from about 20 feet away. Great times in the 90's
She sounds amazing live.
Like the recording
This girl is just one of my absolute all time favorite singers, and this definitely did not let me down... she is still everything she was, and even more now, I loved this !
Hey kids! This is what real music must sound like! Thank you for a breathe of fresh air!!!
LOL typical youtube comment. come up with something more original.
It's "real" because you like it? Is it fake if you don't like it? I happen to love it but your comment is so tired.
@@voodoodisco more original? Perhaps todays "artists" should be more original and authentic.
Using the term artist very loosely by the way.
Gen X have turned out to be nothing more than an off brand bottom shelf boomers. Back in my day a dime bag cost a dime......
No need to show her body, no need of make-up, just her and her beautiful art, BRAVO ALANIS!!! love you...
My opinion.....her best!!
Yep I'm sure of it Alanis is immortal. 30 years still looks the same, sounds the same and the same level of energy today as the first time she performed. Don't know how else to explain it. 😁
Yeah, it's almost like being female ain't all makeup and outfits.
No need for twerking 😆 Just head banging 🤘🤘
@@LittleLulubee Yall are just as hated by your elder preceeding generations as you hate on us with ya wise cracks in ya shitty corners.
We dont really care we dont fuck with yall either. Shame cuz i love little lulu. i grew up on it even tho im young, my grandmother raised me to love the old school while rejecting the toxicity that comes with it like you ppl and what ur demonstrating here....
Oh, btw, me being here... obvi my generation mess with legendary music and know good worth..
Yall are sleep on us and we really dont care if you dont like our twerking. Just cuz you're too old to vibe with it or dont have the body type so you hate on it cuz you cant do it yourself lol..
Just so seethrough and sad to sit here and make this great video and performance about shit talkn a type of expressive woman and reduce this amazing artist down to your personal prejudice appraisal.
Just dig your ditches already. We hate looking up to a bunch of aimles whiny overly religious or anarchist hypocrites. You're just as melodramatic and trash as we are..
In your image and likeness ^_^
We might as well have been dropped outta the sky by nothing for how yall screwed our generation over with horrible guidance and you the overseers of it all have the NERVE to comment on it.
It's called your work. If you dont like it or us that bad, then learn a lil word yall love to throw at us.
*A c c o u n t a b i l i t y*
This is an electrifying performance. Her voice is better than ever.
Wow!!! That’s is how you do it kids. What a voice.
She's still so amazing and has the same energy and affection. One of the greatest of all time. I love her so much.
She represents the best music from the 90’s. Music sort of has never been the same. My daughter who is now a teen likes her (been turning the volume down for 15 years when she curses in “You oughta’ know”.)
I would like to say that she has one of the most wonderful voices I've ever heard
To understand how powerful her voice is, she is able to be so far from the microphone and still hear her perfectly.
That's a compressor..but yeah, great voice as ever...
@@lowbatt3235 Couldn't do that without that plexi around the drummer either. Stage can't be too loud.
@@user-oy7gz5bf2h yep, Not a single speaker on that stage. Everything in the ear and everyone is playing into heads with the cabs off stage. Prob why the house mix sounds so good though.
No auto tune… and that voice is 5” to 10” OFF the mic!! Huge huge spirit coming forth!!!
Gorgeous singer, mighty composer, beautiful soul on stage.
She needs to be in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. She is just amazing!
Holy wind pipes! Her voice is even more powerful now than ever. Watch how often and far she has to pull back from the mic just to keep from overpowering it. I'd say she still got it and then some! Bravo Alanis!
#Legend 👊
Damn, that's some energy right there!! 👏👏 Still able to pull off the windmill , headbanging. I wrecked my neck, can't even think of doing that.😕 Awesome voice. 👍👍
I hear she has a great chiropractor.
That woman touches my soul with almost every song she sings.
same here
Her voice…..OMG!
She has monster pipes. Her voice is obviously a little lower now, but it's still incredibly powerful and versatile.Take that, auto-tune.
Haven't listened to Alanis in ages....She"s still got it !!! And she looks great.
I've always enjoyed Alanis' music and her voice. I haven't seen her live nor have I seen any videos from a concert such as this. All I have to say is WOW! She puts her heart and soul into the performance. The power of her voice is amazing, the fact that she has to back off the mic 2 feet or more is unreal. She reminds me of another legend, Joe Cocker.
Same here just listened to her albums from back in the day time and time again. She's incredible live.
What a wanderful Energy! Bravo, Alanis! You're still the same! A present for us!
I love Alanis. This is my favorite live performance of hers that I've seen................just awesome.
I'm impressed with the audio. She sounds great, looks good, and still alluring and hypnotic is ever. :)
I’ve admired her from day one. Such intelligence expressed through such impassioned delivery. I consider her to be the poet of my generation. ❤️
Me too. I also empathize with her pains. Her music helped me through domestic issues growing up with my mom.
THANK YOU!!! She has the same energy as 15 years ago, same movements, she feels same and sounds perfect like always!!!!
Her mic technique is absolutely astonishing! And I’m sure there’s no bullshit auto tune going on there! She has always been brilliant!
oh you are so correct. Live and wonderful :)
@@MizzesB it’s all so controlled and she doesn’t sound any different from “Jagged Little Pill’ which is when I first heard when it came out!
That’s saying something cause this song is a bitch to sing!! It is so empty in some spots that the smallest waver will stick out badly. She nailed it.
@@NoName-ds5uq I thought this was later than jagged
@@thematrixjs you could be right, my memories of the 1990s are a bit vague these days! 🤣
Her voice is getting even better like fine wine.
She is FEELING IT. absolutely amazing. I must see her live now
This is an Amazing Sound Recording of her performance here! The way she is moving the microphone, to perfectly capture her vocal range, just accentuates her beautiful singing.
loved her then, love her more now (and I'm 51) one of the very best female rockers and voices of all time!!!! 😍🤩😍
Classic rock the 90 years nostalgic The Great Alanis !!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Yeah, she’s still got it after all these years. Such a beautiful haunting voice.
If your movements on stage look cringe then you are doing it right. It doesn't matter how your energy expresses itself. This is a person who is digging deep to give you their best. Many artists can't handle being viewed like this, so they hold back.
Lack of inhibition while performing makes for better art but it's hard to do.
My God that voice . . . even after all these years
She will forever be my favorite artist!!! Thank you ma'am
Everytime I listen to this song I get chills. She's one of the very very best. Her movements... She feels the music she makes. She's just fucking awesome.
Thats a good way to describe it, it stirs something every time!
Totally🔥🔥
My favorite songs from Alanis! So glad to see her concert this year!!
She’s perfect, weird but musically unique ❤️ her
It was the year 1999 and I had the priviledge to see her in concert in Venezuela, South America, and actually I fell in love with her for the way she performed live, it was one of my happiest moment in my life, you still rock sweetheart 😍
I was her in Chile and just missed "Unsent"
That is vocal power right there. Such a beautiful woman with a huge vocal range
It's awesome that Yellow Jackets used this in its trailer.... I'm sure a lot of the younger generations aren't familiar with her music but they are now. And she still sounds fantastic 20+yrs later. Great singer, songwriter and performer and she didn't have to captivate her audience by being half naked on stage. Props Alanis..Great work
Alanis is more metal than anyone would have you think. Wowzers.
Thank you alanis ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm shocked on how great she still sounds. Really kicking myself for not going to see her when she was in my area last year.
4:19 Now that's some great choreographed head banging! Her head hair doesn't skip a beat! 👏💥🎉
As a non-native English speaker I don't care much about the lyrics. When I do, though, I can't agree with everything she says, but who cares? Her voice is in another realm, so to speak; it makes everything legitimate! Outstanding!
My wife and I must have driven over 20,000 miles listening to her songs.
You gotta hand it to any artist who can not only sound just like the studio recording (proving it's not all just gimmicks and auto-tune), but still sound the same after so many years.
I'm a total meta head, my wife dragged me to her concert a few months ago and let me tell you Alanis knocked me on my ass with her amazing voice. I'm glad I was able to witness her live in my lifetime and Thank You 😉
One of my favourite singers period.
Me too
She still got it, or rather: she never lost itPure exquisite beauty...
Tempestuous as the sea, stronger than the foundations of the earth, all will love her and despair!
She’s got that kind of power
Absolutely brilliant and one of the best albums. Jagged little pill 😁
Forsure..
I was 18 when that came out..
I listened to her for yearssss
Well, neither of these songs is from JLP, but yes it was a great album.
Wow! She still sounds incredible! Such an iconic voice!
Amazing! I forgot how talented this woman is!
I love her so much! And she’s still as rad as she used to be. 🙏✌️💖💙
If there is to be only one remnant of conscious humanity, let it be this, please.
A voice and song that will vibrate through the universe.
Awsome ❣
This is one of my favorite songs. She is incredible.
She shines. Elvis, Tupac, Whitney… they had it. Her eyes…such beautiful light.
Don,t know why this was on my recommended, but i'm glad it was. Her voice is still brilliant.
Hermosa mujer, se nota su pasion, su entusiasmo, su energía, contagia y emociona, Dios te bendiga Alanis Morissette.
she still has that amazing voice
She's still got it.
Holy shit! I had no idea that she still sings and rocks just as bad ass and amazing as she ever did. This was amazing to see. I have always loved her music.
You just would sit there stunned at her vocal ability.
Im out of breath just watching her. How does she still do this with that much energy?
Alanis is such an amazing artist. Her songs are poetry and her voice! There's nothing like it. She got me through some things in the 90s.
still killin it. go girl.
WOOOOOW where does she get the energy?
Uninvited has always been (along with several hundred others lol) my fave track, and I was exhausted just watching her perform it HeHe. STILL pure class ;)
After all those years, she is still HER!!! And we love Alanis 4Ever!!!😍
She is still and always be the top female vocalist out there
thank you so so so much
We took these real musicians and singers for granted
Wow...Serious power in her voice to pull that far back off the mic in order to balance the volume.
Was 17 when Jagged dropped here in Canada….there was a lot of great music coming out at that time both here and internationally and she got lost in the “noise”. Fast forward to 2023 and I am loving getting to hear her for the first time all over again.
