Lou engle speaking likethe bickle situation didnt even happen. He doesnt even seem heavy about it. He laughing and jovial? And telling the same old stories? Maybe he hasnt realized the implications of whats happened yet and how that directly effects him personally for decades
I normally don’t answer UA-cam comments and neither comment anything, but here it goes. I’m from South America and living abroad for a while this is what I have seen from AMERICA in general. Our leaders are just good enough till they fall, then they just become an unmerciful sinner and miserable person as we weren’t. Our affection/relationship towards our leaders (and I mean “our” from a perspective where I am not close and neither affiliated to both of them, even though I have been following Lou for the last months on instagram) has become “you feed me until I’m fed up with you”. It’s sad. How many times have we failed as an example to others? The difference is what you have mentioned, the amount of people affected. I feel like you're saying something profound, and what your saying is so profound that some of your point was lost in translation I don't like my comment because the situation is complicated. It's very likely lou engle has impacted your life for the glory of God-i rejoice and offer my respect to Mr engle if that's the case. My main problem is that there's too much focus in US on big conferences and book sales and not enough teaching on repentance holiness, judgement-2cor5:10-11, false teachers 2pet2, & christians falling away 2thes2:3. I know lou engle touches on these points more than others. He's far better than a Kenneth Copeland who takes poor elderly donations for Christ and buys jets to fly around in. Lou engle is better than most pastors but this superstar Christianity has left us not being as discerning as we should be. No one seems to be practicing gal1:8/acts 17:11 but more so 1tim5:17. It is good to honor our leaders but it's a very fine line and it's hard to discern when you are honoring leaders more than you are scripture and is your standard too high? No leader is perfect? But then what does 1jn2:6 say? But 1 pet4:15b tells me this is likely not something I should be commenting on bc I can't waste time on other ppl business. I was raised catholic before I left but one thing is for sure is that catholics know what "abuse" actually is. I guess Bickle kissed a girl and gave her some false prophesies but he apparently didn't rape/molest anyone, so I'm not sure he's guilty of much of anything. Catholic priests have been serially raping kids and getting away w/ it for centuries. A study in only Spain found 200,000 kids have been molested by priests just from 1970 only in Spain. And Lou bows down to the catholics at The Call in LA 2016 and kisses their feet w/out commanding the pope to repent for not turning these priests over to the police? That's shameful. So I don't like Lou for just that reason alone. I think all these "leaders" have had their day in the sun and EVERYONE needs to make sure were working out our own salvation w/ fear and trembling and enduring to the end-phil2:12,13/matt24:13 I'll delete my comment. But God bless you and I'm re-reading thru my whole Bible again and the NT as often as I can and seeking Him in secret and obeying Him in evangelism so that I can stand before Him on judgement day knowing I answered "the call" & endured.
