  • We've made it to Antalya Turkey!
    Antalya, located on Turkey's southwestern coast, is a stunning city renowned for its beautiful beaches, rich history, and vibrant culture. It's often called the "Turkish Riviera" due to its picturesque Mediterranean coastline and mild climate, making it a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.
    Antalya boasts a rich history dating back to ancient times. The city has been inhabited for thousands of years and has been under the rule of various civilizations, including the Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans. This rich historical heritage is evident in its numerous archaeological sites and landmarks.
    One of the most charming areas of Antalya is its historic Old Town, known as Kaleiçi. Enclosed within ancient city walls, Kaleiçi is a maze of narrow cobblestone streets lined with traditional Ottoman-era houses, boutique hotels, and quaint cafes. Strolling through its winding alleys feels like stepping back in time.
    Within the heart of Kaleiçi lies the Old Bazaar, a vibrant marketplace where locals and tourists alike come to shop for souvenirs, spices, jewelry, textiles, and more. The bazaar is a feast for the senses, with colorful stalls, the aroma of spices wafting through the air, and the lively chatter of vendors and shoppers. It's a fantastic place to immerse yourself in Turkish culture and haggle for unique treasures.
    Antalya is home to several notable landmarks, including Hadrian's Gate, a beautifully preserved Roman triumphal arch built in the 2nd century AD, and the Hıdırlık Tower, a historic tower with panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.
    Antalya's coastline is dotted with stunning beaches and coves, offering crystal-clear waters and breathtaking scenery. Some popular beaches include Konyaaltı Beach and Lara Beach, both known for their golden sands and excellent facilities.
    Beyond its historical and cultural attractions, Antalya offers a wide range of activities for visitors. You can go hiking in the nearby mountains, explore ancient ruins such as Perge and Termessos, embark on a boat tour along the coast, or simply relax and enjoy the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle.
    Overall, Antalya is a captivating blend of history, natural beauty, and modern amenities, making it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Turkey. And within its enchanting Old Town, the bustling Old Bazaar is sure to leave you with lasting memories of your time in this remarkable city.

      I guess it's normal in many places in Europe still. Used to be the same in the US but things changed over time. At least be considerate of children 👍

    It is a double-edged sword. If you raise the interest rate, it can curb inflation but tourism suffers due to high cost. Borrowing cost goes up the rooftop. Rental increase. Food cost goes up. That is why malaysia maintain rate at 3%. Inflation less than 4%. Although the currency suffered.

    5:02 The guy is pushing the "magic show" and wants 10 euros for it?? Sabita means public order officer. They are everywhere there.
    At the moment the whole of Turkey is pretty expensive. But they are exaggerating. That's why even the locals go on holiday to Greece.

      @OurTinyAdventure  28 днів тому

      Yes, I was shocked at first. I actually tried to haggle but he pointed out the price was marked on a small sign 🤷🏻‍♂️ It was entertaining for a few minutes and the ice cream was good so we made the best of it, but definitely overpriced in my opinion.
      Thank you for watching 🙏🏻

      @@OurTinyAdventure I was also thinking that he is trying to scam you but yes, the price was written there and it was not a lie.. I wish he was lying 🫣😅 As a local from Istanbul, I wouldn’t pay more then 100 TL to that amount of ice cream.. Anyway, once in a lifetime experience so the kids should enjoy it 😊
      You’re welcome and keep up the good work! 🥳
      Enjoy Istanbul!

      According to genetic researches, turkish people has the highest rate of Anatolian pool genes (more than %70) also more than greeks. that makes them only group of people in the world who has deep and complicated connects to ancient anatolians. they are mostly same people. It is clear enough that they are charting a different path. you have to respect their homeland, their cities, their culture regardless of religious and political issues in today's conditions. Otherwise, you tend to become radicalized.
