I've seen so many wacky things with this game that this is not the funniest grand final I've seen, but I'm definitely laughing now.

One of the weirdest matches I have seen. Goofy interactions and lots of SDs. Very entertaining.
Big brain, by SD'ing at 21:15 after missing the edgeguard, Smub gets back to stage faster and keeps Elegant in disadvantage

Very interesting set as both players would just throw away full stocks or in elegant chase two stocks. These two players would do anything just to gimp each other's exploitive recovery, ha ha. Great sets over-all.
Elegant fought so hard here, his only issue was getting a bit too cocky with the mid-air up B’s

As a Luigi player, imo, Elegant really needs to utilize Luigi's dashing side A and his regular side smashes.

@@toasterking4421 Why's that? The side smashes obviously are killing strikes. The dashing A can leave you vulnerable, but the devs finally made it another effective killing move if landed properly.
I've never seen a Super Smash set where literally more than half the battle was played off-stage. This was crazy!

it's no worse than even if you don't hold forward all game. you'd be surprised as to how well ridley can do against luigi if the ridley player knows the matchup

Smub would’ve won the first set if he downloaded those air dodges quicker and hit him w a couple of forward smashes. He definitely conditioned Elegant to expect aerial attacks.
Love ridley difficult to use but fun gameplay gimping is his game.

Well, I guess it depends on what you mean by difficult to use! Difficult as in, getting far with him or difficult in terms of how to actually use him properly? Playing the character himself isn't difficult but being successful with Ridley alone can be difficult because of his flaws

its not bad, but doesnt have much range.
Whilst it can be good, as it deals like a flat 60% when you hit the sweet spot, it's super easily punished. Missing it, especially against a Luigi, could lead to a stock, its just not worth it. Also the opportunity to hit the sweet spot doesn't come up often as its start up is slow and good players can react to it.
Smubs one of my top 2 maybe 3 to watch
