Back when antagonists in anime would really literally go hysterical when angry. Something that Redo of Healer rarely contains. But then again, recording equipment of seiyuus back then were much more powerful besides their already awesome talents.
Fun Fact: Daltanious is the first mecha anime with Judeo-Christian theme. Go-Lion, Ideon, Dancouga, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Turn A Gundam, Aquarion, and Bokurano also used that theme.
hi, i am hong kong people. thank you upload this animation. i am 52 years old. i watched this animation when i was a child. i dont think i have a chance to watch it again. many many thanks
Also, this robot was meant to be Voltron. Without him, there'd be no Voltron to talk of. :) Though in Liveman, their main robot looks like a live-action version of Daltanious.
@@capitaokaede Also, gotta love how the character designs were re-used from Combattler and Voltes V. Same director - Tadao Nagahama I know but I like to think of this as a celebration of those 2.

Ah, thats because asei kobayashi was the musician for the series including the anisong empress mitsuko horie (she was getting famous as a voice actress and singer during the 70s showa japan at the time along isao sasaki, ichiro mizuki and masato shimon). Also noticed the character designs is similar to Voltes V.
thank you to this channel. Although it is possible to assist with machine translation, please include subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese. Brazil loves Japanese culture and wants to watch anime and tokusatsu with the native subtitle option. We care for that.
It was the same character designer fron Voltes V to Daimos, Yuki Hijiri (along with Akihiro Kanayama who work together under Sunrise Animation Studios that time).
Here's a fun fact - This robot was meant to be Voltron but WEP got tapes to Golion mistakenly but it worked out as they love 5 lions more than one. Good thing we got Daltanious untouched. It's still Voltron to me.
Pretty fun opener, though it does suffer from the "how the heck can he pilot and pull off the attacks if he has no training or scientific excuse" trope from the "Fall on cockpit" mecha shows. Exciting nonetheless.
Never been explained much by this first episode how the 2 dudes managed to learn technically how to pilot the mecha unit in a very very short span of time as if they just accidentally stumbled upon that mecha unit and then piloted it effectively at once into combat without training and study, the action starts seemingly in adrenaline as if the script writers of this episode was cramming or under some serious time constraints / deadline, aside from such flaws this is still among those splendid classic mecha anime ever made or produced especially for that time period (1970s to 1980s).
@Rodolfo A Is still obscure that anime and remains unknown, but it is not listed in a previous programs of IBC 13 and also RPN9. Are you telling the truth it was aired that?
would be better if it was dubbed. or at least subbed. (I know YT has the subtitles but I prefer to download so I'm not having to stream episodes plus I can watch on the move then if I wanted/need be.

Ótima trilha sonora!PLEASE, TOEI: MAKE THE ''SPACE SQUAD ''THIRD PART WITH ''Winspector\Solbrain\Exedraft'' return! ;)
The artwork and music back then have magic and charm, and no wonder it's timeless. They all show tremendous of hard work, and heart and soul of the creators. Everything nowadays is way inferior and like a joke. Just the overuse of fake CG and noisy terrible music.

I am very thankful to this channel that bring me to my childhood. I like many anime when I was teen.
I must say this is one hell of a Voltron style.
Because THIS was supposed to be lion-force Voltron, but the producer got the wrong anime in Japan to be adapted w/c is Golion.
Fight scene has me pumped up as when i was 6 years old. The music. slash sound echo. Poses. Soo damn good

Lion of judah hahaha
I think the cross motif gave that away. Lol

Daltanious. The anime that could have become the first season of Voltron: Defender of the Universe.
I'll call this Voltron 0 (Voltron Zero).
