A really easy way too make objects upright on the inside is to make an expression tied to the rotation control. Literally just pickwick it put the expression and add -() to it, that way it counters the rotation. It will look something like this -(thisComp.layer("Layer name").transform.rotation)
Thanks for this! how would you adjust the rotation on each shape if you were to bring them in staggered a second apart. Currently you have it at -1 at the end of rotation for each one but it doesnt work to keep it upright if each shape is animates in a second apart
There is a easier way to do this: - Add a Null object and centre it in the middle - Add all objects to the null (they all have the anchoir point centered) - Alt click on the objects rotation tool and parent that one to the rotation of the Null object - You will get a script, just put '-' before this script and all objects are parented and will stay centered :) SCRIPT: -thisComp.layer("Layer name of the null object").transform.rotation Also for the 'bounce' effect you can just add a script to the scale expression. Saves you a lot of work
I need help! For some reason as I rotate my images around a circle, it doesn't stay upright although I changed the rotation value to -1, it just doesn't do anything. Did I miss a step, bc I don't like this? lol
This definitely isn't for beginners. You really need to be talking through the tutorial. I've tried to follow this but can get it to work as it seems its for people who already know AE
This is not the right way to do this. instead of doing a keyframe, use the Expression in the rotation bar (thisComp.layer("LayerName").transform.rotation*-1)

Nice tutorial, it would help a ton if you spoke while doing it
Or had the steps written as captions on the bottom of the screen.
Please add ur voice in the video or at least zoom in when select something, cz its helping someone who is watching in a smartphone, like me 😢
It is very difficult to understand anything without voice. Plus loud music when you are trying to focus on a small screen.
