If I could get the radio broadcast to sync up to the television coverage, I would never listen to the IDIOTS on TV for a Browns game. Paul Keels is the best!

I was surprised that Paul Keels, who just called Ohio State's win over Rutgers less than 24 hours earlier, was calling the Browns-Cardinals game. He didn't lose a step with the play-by-play, either. I hope Keels can call another Browns game in Jim Donovan's absence. Get well, Jimmy D. Go Browns!!!
He also called the OSU men's basketball game the following day. He had a lot on his plate that weekend.

I tuned in to Sirius late in the game only to hear a strange voice doing play by play. I thought it might be the Cardinals channel. But than I heard Nate's voice on commentary. Paul Keels' play by play reminded me of Jim Graner and Gib Shanley back in the late fifties and early sixties. I wish Jim Donovan a speedy recovery.
This is cool as anything, Paul Keels calling a Browns game is awesome! If I had known I would have listened to the radio broadcast while watching on TV.
Paul keels is like music to my ears
This is what has been needed while Jimmy has been down. I listened to a terrible Colts Browns broadcast that was brutal. This is what professional broadcasting sounds like.
You hear that voice and you instantly think "Buckeyes". If Jim Donovan can't call the Browns games, I'd take Paul Keels everytime.

I've tried it by going on the internet version of the radio station. That way I can pause either the tv or radio to synch it up.

I hate to say it, I shouldnt because its the Browns and well we all know what happens when your a Browns fan but? After the Pitt and Ravens game? The schedule looks pretty good, Broncos, Rams, Jags, Bears, Texans, Jets, Bengals. That Seahawks loss may come back and burn us, but? These next 2 games Pitt and Ravens are playoff games. Gotta have em, or? We be singing the Browns fight song early. JUST WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR.

I really hope Jim gets healthy and comes back and continues to call the browns for decades to come. But if the worst were to happen and Jim isn't able to come back. I think Paul Keels or Gus Johnson would be a fantastic replacement. I think Gus Johnson would give you a lot of that Jim Donovan energy for sure.
Would either of them want to give up their current positions to take the Cleveland gig should it become available? I can't really see Gus leaving FOX Sports for a gig like this.
Paul Keels is not the same. I hope Jim Donovan is OK but it is cool that an ohio state announcer is announcing a browns game.

I remember he was the radio voice during the 1996 season, then did TV preseason games for many years. I was thrilled when he got the OSU job, having heard his work on WLW with the Bengals and UC.

I don't listen to a lot Buckeyes games on the radio. Does this guy ever get excited? He has a great voice, but zero emotion on these calls.

I don't know what kind of emotion you want, but Paul got pretty excited several times, especially on that tipped pass caught for a touchdown. The play at 1:44
Noticed that too. He is noticeably more excited on big plays for the Buckeyes. I think Keels realized he is a fill-in and didn't want to go over the top.
