Well….you can get a smaller knife up to critical temp with a single torch. Maybe two if the yellow plumbing torches and no forge. Very thin and small steel. That small, single blade shouldn’t cause too much smoke on quench. My first attempts ranged from shaping already made knives to making a letter liners that didn’t get heat treated right. It’s all fun
Beautiful. I might just make one. I use O1 steel to make wood carving knives and just heat them with a torch.
