So basically from what I saw on how to beat Bucky is to hope your opponent draws a cruddy hand! lol
Hey Speci! Liking the set champ videos 😁 I think it’s interesting to try and maximize draw in this matchup, but personally I think I would have help chernobog’s followers on board for when my opponents on 3 ink. Then you pressure your opponent to build to the board (play Diablo) or wait longer to play removal on the chernobog’s followers, at which point you could’ve still played friends on the other side on 3. Not sure if it would have impacted gameplay decisions for the opponent
Joe can you do a video on deck list for Toronto challenge this weekend with no Bucky and no Chapter 5? I could use a lot of help.
I mean, yeah not hard to dominate that match when they didn’t play anything turn one and no bucky on two or three but cool video!
@@HiyaaGeorgie yep so true, emerald steel is pretty easy to beat without bucky and diablo XD
I may be wrong but I dont think your opponent had enough ink to play the Beast at the end of the game after hard casting let the storm rage on
You can clearly see the guy shift one of the inks to make it look like 5.

Yes you are correct, he was at 7 ink. The whole match he did this weird thing of untapping all inks at his end step, is that even legal? And at the end he took advantage of it, he probably tought his opponent would assume that chunk was 5 inks since he casted grab your sword with it but he then shifted one ink to the other pile to make the other 3 for the storm. It looked so intentional.
I played against Bucky with Ruby/Am last weekend a few rounds and lost pretty badly, but watching you pilot your deck was super helpful in me piloting for upcoming set championships. Amazing content as always Speci!
@44:03 how does he afford to play the beast? plays 3 for storm and has 4 left no? then switches up his piles? im so confused he plays 1more ink than he should have??
Bucky is such a difficult match up for Ruby Amythest. Really interesting to see how you are playing this.

It's really not to bad just play correctly and you win. The hardest part is changing your mentality on how your deck plays against them compared to most of the other decks. You have to play so much different that it's hard to find the lines sometimes
@@carsofelgaming4839 yep, I’ve prepped for the ra matchup a lot for Dallas es has to try and get as many Becky’s as possible and use Ursula to snipe be prep around turn 6 ra needs to DRAW CARDS AGGRESSIVELY

Why are people so scared of Bucky when they are playing with ruby amethyst? Most of these matchups I have seen ruby amethyst outdraw Bucky discard...
