This concert in 2017 was the first huge event in his home country after his phenomenal success in the Singer contest in China. Being the patriot he is he was just overwhelmed by that and his fans who so rapturously showed their love. He was only 23 at the time. Love your reactions from Austria 😊

Обожаю моменты, когда звучит домбра (dombra) и кобыз (kobyz), это не только потому что я воспитана на этих звуках, но для меня это нечто большее, это свобода, это ветер в степи, это шелест ковыли и запах полыни ранним утром на рассвете… необыкновенные ощущения… даже не смотря на нынешнюю урбанизацию, слушая эти звуки становится так хорошо, мир кажется таким загадочным… и интересным… обязательно послушайте кобыз… неповторимое звучание, еще эти звуки напоминают табун диких лошадей, это просто надо услышать… Димаш великолепен, спасибо Вам большое, мне эта реакция очень подняла настроение, так оно было не очень, недавно узнала, что умерла три года назад актриса Takeuchi Yuko, которая мне очень понравилась в сериале «Ночь, цвета клубники», этот сериал периодически пересматриваю, вот и на прошлой неделе пересматривала, а также решила посмотреть ее фильмографию, а новых фильмов нет, удивилась, решила узнать, почему так давно нет от нее вестей и новых творении, и узнала печальную новость, ее больше нет, большая потеря…

This was another great explanation of this performance. I’ve never heard anyone mention how he was signaling to staff about a problem. I notice he dropped the ear piece, too. Usually, when Dimash takes out his ear piece, the song is about to hit the stratosphere. With Dimash, I would count on muscle memory to get him through any problem.

- Dimash Kudaibergen was born in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, on May 24, 1994. It is now 191 cm tall.
- Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. Since September 1, 2020, Dimash is studying at the Kazakh National University of Arts in doctoral studies (PHD) with a degree in Musicology.

- The first performance as a singer is 2010.

"Daididau" is a kazhak folk song and Dimash's rendition is truly beautiful and touching. The song is based in a poem by a poet and patriot arrested and jailed accused of conspiracy in the last Century. While jailed he was informed that his wife (Daididau) had left him. Then, in the midst of sorrow and pain he wrote her a letter (the poem). He was executed in 1939. Kazakhistan as well as other countries has a very strong and sad history. The country became independent only a few years before Dimash's birth. And Dimash knows, deeply, the history of his beloved country and people.

Their two-stringed upright fiddles were strung with horsehair strings, played with horsehair bows, and often feature a carved horse’s head at the end of the neck. The violins, violas, and cellos we play today, and whose bows are still strung with horsehair, are a legacy of the nomads.
It is believed that these instruments eventually spread to China, India, the Byzantine Empire and the Middle East, where they inspired into instruments such as the erhu in China, the rebab in the Middle East, the lyra in the Byzantine Empire and the esraj in India. The violin in its present form emerged in early 16th-Century Northern Italy, where the port towns of Venice and Genoa maintained extensive ties to central Asia through the trade routes of the silk road.
The Erhu can be traced back to proto-Mongolic instruments which first appeared in China during the Tang Dynasty. (Tang Empire was an imperial dynasty of China that ruled from 618 to 907, with an interregnum between 690 and 705.) Kobyz belongs antic ages.

Dimash is overcome with emotion as he is singing a traditional song close to his heart. This was Dimash’s first large scale concert in his homeland performance was the 30-thousand-people arena was 2.5 hours long.
Before singing "Daididau" folk song, Dimash Kudaibergen played the dombra, Kazakh national instrument, together with 100 musicians.

Wise Turkic women and men has used to play kobyz the first violin on the world (since BC. 3000+). (Chinese Erhu first appeared induring the Tang Dynasty [AC.618]) We are not new one in this world. We and our culture are not mixed. Turkic tribes seems different phenotypes each other from the beginning. Multicultural marriage never being common in history and day. We have mostly secular countries, therefore we are not religionists' toys. All Muslims are not arabs and Turkic Nations are not living like wahhabis. Not similar culture ever. We (Turkic people) are all of the "Turan" groups: 7 Independent Republic and a lot of autonomous republics and regions: 1 Buddhist, 5 Tengrists, 4 Christians, 1 Jewish and 20+ Muslims majorities. There are secular republics mostly. Turkic Languages belong to the Altaic branch of the Ural-Altaic family of languages, and thus is closely related to Mongolian, Manchu-Tungus, Korean, and Japanese.

Every home in Kazakhstan
has @ least one, every 2nd person knows how to play it. The young girls wear traditional dress while learning it. The women are always in traditional dress wherever & whenever they play the dombra .
I'm glad that you enjoy watching/listening to the dombra being played,this isn't the only instrument that Dimash plays. He's a multi-instrumentalist along with preforming in 12 languages.

мне уже скоро 70 лет но я смотрю димаша с 2015 когда димаш пел на славянском базаре стехпор я не смотрю телевизор я прихожу с работы и ссжусь за компютер и с мотрю все выступление моего самого любимого певца у меня были майкал джексон элви пресли фредю меркель муслим могомаев и димаш когда я слушаю песню даидау я всегда почмута плачу не понемая слова но глядя как димаш поет слезы сами льются осебено мне тронула когдадимаш исполнил дайдудау в америке там было что то сверх эмоционально там димаш выложился на все1000 процентов

The dombra is a long-necked Kazakh and Bashkir lute and a musical string instrument. It is a popular instrument among Turkic communities in Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Mongolia.
Instrument similar to violin is kobyz. The Kobyz (Kazakh: Qobyz) is an ancient Turkic string instrument, spread among Kazakhs, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It has two strings made of horsehair. The resonating cavity is usually covered with goat leather.
Dimash is wearing national Kazakh outfit - shapan - here. Kazakh clothing, worn by the Kazakh people, is often made of materials suited to the region's extreme climate and the people's nomadic lifestyle. It is commonly decorated with elaborate ornaments made from bird beaks, animal horns, hooves and feet. Although contemporary Kazakhs usually wear Western dress, the Turkic people wear more traditional clothing for holidays and special occasions.

👉 Daididau is a poem written in prison by Maghzhan Zhumabayev, a true story. The poet had just been informed that his wife left him, and this song was his reply. He called his wife Daididau - it could be derived from 'дедім айдай ау' - the moon-like. But it was actually a false information, a way to torture him and others that were arrested for conspiracy. He saw her again but only for a short time. He was executed in 1938. This song is well known and very important for the kazakh people. The traditional coat is called Shapan. 20:27 If you listen to all kinds of interviews, then you learn that in fact Dimash has a low voice. It's just that this young man somehow can change the tone of his voice very quickly...he will talk in both low and medium tones. But I've noticed that his everyday voice gets richer and lower every year.
And also as I know Dimash has longer vocal cords than ordinary vocalists, which means he has a low voice 😉
