A lot of these fake anti piracy screens hardly look believable. 7:03 Elmo’s letter adventure is probably the worst case. there is absolutely no way they would ever be able to distribute it as a kids game when the anti piracy screen shows Elmo holding a FLIPPING KNIFE!
Edit: okay, credit where credit’s due, 5:05 this frog game whatever it is, is actually kind of believable. It feels somewhat unsettling, but not that disturbing either. The only problem I have with it is the glitch that shows before the screen at 4:54. An 8bit game would never be able to look like that when the screen glitches up.
Same with the Princess Peach: Showtime one. They wouldn't do a bunch of random jumpscares like that, let alone in an "anti-piracy mode."
