Yes they had poor technique..and we're not professional enough.yhey cried like babies...the short ball and intimidation has always been part of cricket..take that away and it is a batsman's paradise

Back then,Kingston was a fast bowler's paradise and ,added to that,the pitch had a slight ridge on it so that when the ball hit the top of that ridge, it exploded onto the batsman. Now,Holding was already bowling at 100mph during that Test match,but whenever the ball hit the top of that ridge it made the ball virtually impossible to play due to the increased explosive speed and extra bounce. In those circumstances, the shorter batsmen faired better than the taller players.
