All I can say is that this man is a genius. The way he can transcribe an orchestral piece for the organ, Jonathan is incredible. I have no words to describe his musical abilities.
This pipe organ has an amazing sound. Combine this with the genius of Mozart and Jonathan’s virtuosity in transcribing the music and playing it and you have a sound like none other! Bravo! Bravo!!
Whenever I hear you play Jonathan, you raise my spirits Heavenward, but never so high that I can’t hear you. You’re an Angel placed on earth by GOD’s Grace.
I 💕 loved this symphony already as a child. But this rendition by Jonathan is the most beautiful to me. A difficult piece that he mastered geniously as all his other numerous presentation. To me, the marvel is also that he plays on so many different organs and has to get familiar with each, that must also be part of his great genius!
I always expect to hear a roar of applause after you play each piece. You play beautifully-a real musicians’ organist-fast enough and loud enough!!! Thank you and your brother for all the hard work you put in to give us such musical pleasure!!
When I hear this interpretation of Mozart I feel as if I rise up to heaven!! Everything is perfect: music, sound, timbre, time...!! Really wonderful!! I can only say thank you!!💖👏👏👏
BRAVO!
A magnificent piece of music by Mozart given new life through a sensational interpretation and performance...truly a treasure to be appreciated. Jonathan, thank you for sharing your tremendous talents and using them to bring enjoyment to so many.
Just realized this beautiful arrangement goes extremely well with this particular pipe organ in my home country. Great performance and enjoy the colours coming out of the instrument.
Organ used as Synthesizer to substitute a whole symphony-orchestra. Nothing is missing. I think WAM is proud about this perfect interpretation. Many thanks for sharing !!!
This splendid performance makes me feel like I'm watching the clear radiant moon over the cherry blossoms in full bloom in Tokyo of Japan From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
i cannot enough of this genius organist and his brother Tom as well. their duos are also brilliant, especially the Mozart Magic Flute performed also in Taiwan. Exquisite video. Love especially their performances of Mozart, Bach, Handel. THANK YOU!!
Jonathon Scott I think this is an outstanding transcription you've created. I'd never have imagined the Number 40 in G minor could be appropriately transcribed for organ, but I believe you've done it. Your others are pretty good too, but I think this Mozart transcription is brilliant. The registrations seem to have accurately captured the dynamics of the work - something a well-written transcription for organ is able to do really well given the complexity of the divisions/ranks the instrument can use.
It’s great to see organ players engaging with classic music arrangements! but I think every instrument should be open to playing different variations of music, much like electric guitarists who played Mozart arrangements. I appreciate your openness to playing music that isn’t traditionally associated with the organ, where hymns are more common. Classic music deserves to shine on this instrument! I hope to learn to play the organ one day; I admire every instrument for its potential and rich variations in sound. I’m at the point where I don’t care what instrument I play in a symphony, as long as I can be part of one. I know the basics of all the instruments but haven’t put them into practice yet.
To be honest, I checked this out to see how bad it would be. Anyone remember the Waldo de los Rios version back in the 1970s? It inspired me to listen to the "official" Mozart 40 and fall madly in love with the *real* music. Wow, Mr. Scott, you're playing the *real* music here. On a traditional mechanical-action European organ. So "ancient" that it looks like the varnish on the woodwork just finished drying. In Taiwan, yet. Bravissimo! And a transcription of an orchestral piece played on an organ with mechanical action. Just how hard does he have to push down on that thing to play the tuttis so fluently? People, if Big Jon offers to arm-wrestle you for beer money … run!! :-)
This is truly amazing, the transcription, adaptation as well as the stunning performance. I've heard all of the Mozart transcriptions of Mr Scott (and everything he plays is just fascinating), and then it becomes very clear why W.A Mozart called the organ "Queen of all instruments". Very impressive!
Just listened for the second time; as breathless as at the first! God bless you brother Jonathan Scott. God bless you deluxe! One of my all time favorite Platonic quotes comes to mind, “Philosophy tempered with music which takes up her abode in a man and becomes the lifelong guardian of his virtue.” PWG
Mr. Kuberler Organist Saint Aloysius Church Queens New York City thank you for teaching us to appreciate classic music we were lucky enough to hear and sing thank you
Another brilliant interpretation Jonathan. A very nice instrument that you could be forgiven if you thought it was an instrument in a hall in Vienna built about 150 years ago. The casework and the sound are a joy to behold. That is one of the nicest organ cases I have ever seen, and the gold top and bottom lips and ears of the front pipes are with the burnished tin pipe body an unusual feature but it works perfectly with the casework colour. As an ex organ builder I would have been very proud of any work of mine the instrument contained. As for your playing, superb as ever! The video presentation you brother provides is just as stunning as your playing Keep up the brilliant work the both of you .
Last night I listened to an organ transcription of Beethoven’s fifth symphony(first movement); this was even grander. By the climax towards the finale my hands were in the air and that after I had broken out into several body auras. This is just marvelous! I especially loved the work on the foot pedals; ingenious! I am a fan and look forward to more of these inspirational transcriptions. Thanks so much. PWG
I stood outside this concert hall in 2017; but had no idea it possesses such a stupendous organ. Recommend Taiwan for a holiday: glorious scenery, and wonderfully hospitable people. Stay at SILK'S PLACE in the Taroko Gorge, and the LANDIS in Taipei (truly "your home from home"; just as advertised).
Bravo! A perfect marriage of organ sound, pacing, interpretation, and performance. It revealed some details in the original that one can sometimes not hear as clearly in the orchestral version.
A spectacular and stellar even performance Jonathan! Brilliant transcription and brilliant performance. Good old WAM is laying happily in his final resting place! Thank you .
Mozart would rise and give you a standing ovation!
The world's greatest organist !!!
All I can say is that this man is a genius. The way he can transcribe an orchestral piece for the organ, Jonathan is incredible. I have no words to describe his musical abilities.
I 100% agree!!
This pipe organ has an amazing sound. Combine this with the genius of Mozart and Jonathan’s virtuosity in transcribing the music and playing it and you have a sound like none other! Bravo! Bravo!!
That was beyond amazing! It was unbelievable! Completely breathtaking!!!!!
Whenever I hear you play Jonathan, you raise my spirits Heavenward, but never so high that I can’t hear you. You’re an Angel placed on earth by GOD’s Grace.
not a single voice is missing. this is exquisite.
Before Bach was the master of composing and a great or even the unbeatable organ player
Nowadays God Grants Us JONATHAN SCOTT .Thank you Dear GOD!
An excellent performance. Watching from Barbados, West Indies. God's blessings on your hands.
Is there a pierce of music he can't transcribe beautifully for organ? I think not. Spectacular. Bravo Jonathan!
Exactly what came to mind. :)
are you italian?
Just WONDERFUL.! MOZART s delicacies remain delicate,, doesn't matter how you handle them

These days this is my favorite .

Genius! I wish Mozart could hear this.
He is!
Ricky Amez c CD
Hahaha. I was thinking the same thing as Jonathan was playing.
Maybe he can...& he's thinking "Very nice, but can you play it backwards?"
i'm glad he was spared
Bach himself would have been mesmerized. Great adaptation, but above all, magnificent Mozart. Thanks master for this gift to mankind.
I just hope I live long enough to hear you in a live performance on one of these magnificent machines
That would be the GREATEST VACATION of all time!
awesome! thanks for creating such vivid impressive performance! I listen to this music for over 50 years and it remainns a surprising strong piece!
Great! 🎹

Perfect as always, Jonathan. Thanks for the great performance!
Grandiose, tadellose Ausführung und Interpretation. Beeindruckende und außergewöhnliche Registrierung. Vielen Dank

LOL
Brilliant - as usual.
Many thanks.
ur transcriptions deserve more than one thumb up ! :-) Thank you for this great video :-)
Excellent thank you.

Wow! I tried to "play along" with you on my make-believe organ, I couldn't keep going. You are very special. xx
Bravo! A perfect marriage of organ sound, pacing, interpretation, and performance. It revealed some details in the original that one can sometimes not hear as clearly in the orchestral version.
Your talent is remarkable.
4:03 is my favorite part where it slows down and I love the decending sound
